Mouse Turned Dog

Chapter 12

    As promised I saw Mad Dog at school, in fact, one could make a guess that the boy was waiting for me. Which my brothers took really well...NOT!! I don't know if you've ever had to hold back to physically superior males as they try to charge a boy that doesn't seem to be afraid of them. It took me running past them and into the school building, only being able to give the blonde a quick wave before running like a madwoman.

    "Oi, Ume-kun!!" Toru yelled trying to get me to stop, "If you keep running like this on your bad knee you'll make it worse."

    Rounding the corner, to the shoe lockers I quickly kicked off my schools and threw my street shoes into my locker before stepping into my school ones. Thinking I was in the clear, I walked out of the room and started toward my class only to have two arms drape themselves over my shoulders.

    "You really thought you got away huh?" Nii-chan asked leaning into my line of sight.

    "And you really thought Mom would make us fiend for ourselves?"

    "Hey! She texted me saying she was called in, not my fault that she came home early!!" He snapped giving me a small shake.

    Pushing away from the two tall males, I attempted for the second time to get to class though it seemed to be a challenge for me today. Trying to leave the shoe room was not going my way seeing as I walked into a wall...well people. 

    "Are you kidding me?" I mumbled to myself, looking up I saw two confused faces. The Twin Towers were here, SeiSei had a small smirk with her normal bored eyes and Hiro was snickering at my misfortune.

    "Having a rough day?" Matsukawa asked placing a large hand on my head.

    "You could say that," I whispered looking away from the tallest player, a small pout found its way on my lips as Hanamaki started laughing harder.

   "Oi, Maki-san! Leave my poor little flower alone! She has a boy following her around!!"
The statement seemed to snap the taller males into a more serious state of mind like I said the boys on the volleyball team have picked up my brothers' protectiveness. Some days it's nice, but any other day, much like today, it's just a pain in the ass.

    "He's not following me around, he was nice enough to walk me home last night. You two just scared him off with you over the top Bromance you have going."

    Both Matsuawa and Hanamaki burst out laughing, even going as far as leaning on each other for support.

    "There is no fucking Bromance!!!" Aniki's voice cracked a bit as he yelled with his face red from embarrassment while Toru-Nii looked like he was gonna cry.

    "Why are you so mean Iwa-chan??" 

    "Huh?" The dark look knowen as a glare crossed my lovely brother's face.

    "AH!!! I'm sorry Iwa-chan," Oikawa then turned and ran away from the menacing man that I was related to.

    "It's okay Haji-Nii," I placed my hand on his shoulder to calm him. The other third years had stopped their laughing with confused faces, but catching the mischievous smile that crawled across my lips they knew my plan.

    "We all still love you, I mean maybe not as much as Toru. But it now makes sense of why you only ever had one girlfriend." 

    "UMEJI!!!!" 

    I took off as soon as I could, squeezing past the six-foot giants I ran down the halls trying not to get caught by the mad man who was right at my heels.

    "You're really not setting a good example for your kouhai!!" I yelled taking a sharp turn down a hallway.

    "Like I care! I have a sister to kill!!" He snapped sliding around the corner nearly losing his footing.

    "Seriously you're making too big of a deal out of nothing."

    "Nothing my ass!!"

    Running through the halls was not how I was wanting to start my morning, dodging other students while hoping that it didn't slow me down. I was hoping to talk a little with Kyotani, but as Mom had told me nothing goes as planned. 

    Turning yet another corner but this time I felt a hand wrap around my upper arm, SHIT he got me!! Looking over my shoulder excepting a mad brother but was surprised when I got a Mad Dog instead. Not that I'm complaining about the upgrade.

    "Hey," I panted as I looked past his shoulder hoping that Hajime wasn't going to pop out of nowhere. Seeing nothing my eyes locked one with the golden ones that had a confused look to them.

    "How's your morning going?" I heaved a sigh placing my hands on my hips hoping to get more air into my burning lungs.

    "I'm not running for my life, so good." He snarked giving me a look that showed he was amused.

    "Heh," I laughed only to push the blonde male to the side as I saw a glimpse of an angry volleyball player looking for his manager. Following the taller male, leaning against the hallway wall, still panting I looking over to the shell shocked male.

   "Sorry, didn't mean to push you so hard," I whispered watching his face.

    "It's fine," he glanced over to me with a small smirk that if I hadn't been looking at his face I wouldn't have seen it, "Do I even want to know what you did?"

    "Why do you think I've done anything?"

    "He looks like he's gonna kill someone," he looked around the corner checking for said male.

    "No that's just his face."

    He turned back and gave me an unamused making a dark gloom hit my shoulders. Sighing I gave a small pout.

    "I may or may not have told him that he was in a Bromance with Oikawa..." I looked away from Kentaro not wanting him to see the ashamed look on my face.

    A soft snicker came from my side, making me whip my head back to the chuckling male. He had a soft look, his eyes shine brighter and a barely noticeable blush took up residency at the top of his cheeks. Quickly looking away from him again but this time my hand more my nose.

    "You okay??"

    "Yup!" I squeaked, holding my now bloody nose.

    HOW CAN ONE MAN BE SO ATTRACTIVE!!!
