"Are you still eating breakfast?!" Vincent almost made me chock my rice. "We're going to be late!"
"Late for what?" Victor was more confused and sleepy than I was but reading a Hong Kong newspaper.
"For school!" The youngest putting a hole toast in his mouth.
"I still have one hour, and we don't even attend the same school." I put on my glasses seeing him in his new normal kid outfit. "Sit down and eat properly!"
"Why are you rushing, is not like you need to take a bus." The eldest was already in a full suit to go work. I can give you guys a ride before work if you want."
"That's not needed." Vincent is a very weird kid. "We already have a ride."
"Where's Appa?" I asked for the only person, besides Victor who could give us a ride.
"Your dad already left for work." A lady sat by the dinner table confusing us.
"Who are you?" Now Vincent was confused.
"I think she's daddy's new girlfriend," I said seeing how she was dressed in a nightgown.
"I'm his wife!" She protested making Victor come back to his newspaper. "My name is Janice."
"Yeah, Number 5, just like Channel," I said when butler Cheng arrived in the dining room.
"Excuse me but I believe this house has a visitor." The old butler said in a monotonous tone, of course, it was 7 am.
"It's for me let him in!" For once Vincent seeing to be excited about something like a normal kid.
"Do you invited someone to come over?" Victor put his newspaper down once again. "I thought you said you didn't have any friends."
"I made one yesterday and he's my ride." Now I'm pretty sure I lost something. "Jason sit here!"
"Good morning." I almost spat my orange juice when Jason sat by the table next to Vincent.
"Who is he?!" Victor protested about the boy who was too old to be Vincent's friend.
"What are you doing here?!" I asked Jason who was comfortable with this weird situation.
"Alamak, do you know him?!" Victor asked once again, with Singlish coming out, so that wasn't good.
"Of course, I know him he's my seatmate!" I protested. "Jason, what are you doing here Lah?"
"Well, I was having a great time with Vince yesterday and offered him a lift for school." His eyes were moving from me to Victor and to 'Janice'. "I thought it was a good idea since we're classmates and I don't live far from here."
"You guys said that I need to make a new friend, so I did." Vincent referred to me and Victor.
"Yes, but he's my friend Lah!" I protested once again.
"Jason is a very nice and cool person, we have many things in common too!" Vincent and his damn logic.
"So, I don't mind being friends of both of you..." Jason put his hand on the back of his neck. "My name is Jason Choi by the way, I don't think I introduced myself properly." He gave a small bow to the elders.
"How old are you?!" Victor was calmer, at least it seems.
"18 in South Korea," Jason answered.
"How old are you in South Korea?" Victor asked me in a lower tone.
"18, we're born in the same year." I referred to Jason. "But why are you asking?"
"I don't know, I think dad would ask that!" He clearly didn't know what he was doing.
