I step toward her. "I've had a crush on you since orientation day in grade nine."
"I've liked you since the first time I ever saw you, which was at summer camp in seventh grade."
I raise an eyebrow. "And you've held on to that crush since that camp?"
"Yes I did. I thought that maybe - just maybe - I would be able to see you again one day. Turns out, you go to my high school."
I cup her cheek. "So the person you've been waiting for has been here the whole time."
She looks at me with those beautiful gold eyes of hers. "He sure has."
I bite my lip. Is this a good idea?
She smiles a mischievous smile that makes me want to wipe it off with my lips. I'll be the judge of that.
And then I kiss her. All I can focus on is the way she giggles in between kisses, and my hands inching towards the bottom of her shirt.
I wish this would last forever.
