Number Six

"Knock knock..." I'd know that voice anywhere.

"Come on in, Jay-Jay," I call.

He opens the door and steps in, but there's someone else with him.

A girl.

I give her a glare with enough fury to light a damn fire. "If you break his heart, I'll break every bone in your body. Got it?"

She nods meekly, stepping behind Jayce slightly. He rolls his eyes.

"Faye, this is Alexica. She's my girlfriend of three months."

"Three months?!" I try to sit up, but wince in pain and lay back down. "Why didn't you tell me? I could have given you date ideas!"

Alexica giggles. "I like her already, Jayce."

"You better."

I gesture for Alexica to take a seat in the chair beside me. "I'm gonna ask you a few questions just to see if you and my big bro will last."

She raises an eyebrow at me, but obeys. "Babe, can you grab Faye and I drinks?"

He throws a suspicious glance my way, but shrugs. "Fine."

Once I could hear his footsteps down the hall, I turned to Alexica. "Question number one: Why are you dating Jayce?"
