THIS CHAPTER IS ABOUT SOPHIE'S AUDITION.

TELL ME IF YOU LIKE IT AND  IF YOU THINK SHE WILL ACTUALLY GET ACCEPTED.

ENJOY!!

Los Angeles was about and hour or so away from home. I have been practicing since Tuesday and I managed to get all the moves right. I was really excited about the auditions. I’ve never done an audition before and I really hope I get in.

I wanted to forget everything that had happened to me in the last week. I wanted to forget the pain I felt when my friends wanted nothing to do with me. I wanted to forget what had happened Wednesday night with Andrew. I wanted to forget everything. Hopefully New York can help me forget.

When I showed the choreography to everybody on Friday they all told me that it was great and that I was sure to get in. I, of course, being a girl cried a bit when everybody gave me another group hug.

I ignored Andrew Thursday and Wednesday, but today everybody surprised me by going to the studio early and all of them wishing me good luck. Tori and Alex wanted to come and give me moral support. Brandon said that maybe it would help a bit if my friends were there to support me. So now we are all in one of Brandon’s cars with Tori, Alex, and myself in the back seat with Andrew in the front next to Brandon.

I was in between Alex and Tori talking about how nervous I was for the audition, how good of a dancer I was, and how much they were going to miss me. We agreed that if I get accepted we would video chat every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday so they could show me all the routines they have learned.

Every once in a while Andrew would get into the conversation saying that I was an amazing dance and that I deserve to get in. I only answered with a one word answer or somebody else would agree with him and we’d start all over again.

When we got to the place where the auditions were being held at I was surprised to see so many people there. Auditions would in the next twenty minutes and people were still arriving. We all made our way to the registration table were there was a line we had to wait in. My friends could see that I as nervous and encouraged me by saying “You can do this.” or “You’ll do great.”

When we got to the front I gave then the information they needed and I signed the papers that they told me to sign. Five minutes later I was more nervous than I’ve ever been in my entire life. They gave me a paper with my number on it and told me to wait for my name to be called. Brandon told me that I was going to go there alone and dance in front of three judges representing the school. Two of them are more likely to be the same ones from last year's competition. That made me even more nervous.

All around me there were people practicing their routine. There were probably more than two hundred people in the lobby. Some are doing contemporary, some are doing jazz, and most guys are doing hip hop. Just like me. I didn’t see any other girl that was going to do hip hop besides me.

My friends had to wait on the other side of the stage to watch me dance, so right now I was alone. I decided to practice some of the break dancing moves I put into the choreography while I waited. Several minutes later a couple of guys came to me and told me that I was great. I don’t know why but that made me a little less nervous. We talked for a bit until I heard my number and name being called.

“114! Sophie Jones!” said a girl's voice.

The guys whose names are Adrian, Liam, Wyatt, and Gabriel a.k.a. Gabe, wished me good luck and I did to them. I made my way to the room they had told me to go to and was greeted by a woman in either her late twenties or early thirties with blonde hair. She was carrying a clipboard and told me to go ahead and wished me good luck.
