Chapter 18 Why Is This Happening To Me?

“How is she?” I heard someone ask.

“She still hasn’t woken up.” said another person. There was sadness in their voices.

I can hear movement going all around me. I tried to open my eyes but I couldn’t I tried to talk but I couldn’t find my voice. I tried to move but I couldn’t either.

I didn’t knew what was going on. I started to panic. I wanted to move, to talk but I couldn’t. Everything was so confusing. What was going on? Why couldn’t I move or talk or open my eyes.

What’s going on?

“Sophie please wake up” I heard someone whisper to me.

I wanted to scream and yell but I couldn’t.

I can’t open my eyes! Help me!

I was screaming inside my head. I was struggling inside me.

I couldn’t take it. Something was wrong.

Okay Sophie calm down. Take deep breaths. Try to listen to your surroundings. Find out where you are and why you can’t wake up.

I can hear movements around me. There must be a lot of people here. I can hear a person tearing up with a stuffy nose. Then I heard it. Why couldn’t I hear it before? I know where I am. But why am I in the hospital? What happened to me?

Besides the movement around me I can hear the beeping of the heart monitor to my left. It was slow but steady. What happened to me? Then everything came back to me. The Market, Violet, the car. A car was going to hit Violet.

Violet!

What happened to her? Is she okay? Is she hurt? I wanted to know so bad. I tried to move at least talk. I need to know if she was okay.

“What’s happening?” I heard a panicked voice asked.

I can hear the heart monitor beeping fast. I heard more noises around me too.

“Doctor! We need a doctor!” someone yelled.

“What’s happening to her?” I heard someone else ask.

But I didn’t care what they were asking. I needed to know if Violet was okay. And I need to know now.

“Doctor what’s happening to her?” I heard my dad ask.

Dad?

“I need you all to leave please.” Dr. Johnson said.

“But what’s happening to her?” I heard my dad ask.

“Please I need you to leave the room.” said the Doctor.

I heard movement again but it soon faded. Who was here? Where is Violet?

“Calm sown Sophie.” I heard Dr. Johnson say.

How can I calm down? Where is Violet? I need to know! Please tell me Doctor! Where is she? How is she? Is she hurt? Please tell me! Why wont you tell me? Please!
