Two months later.

I stood at the top of the aisle, tapping one of my feet nervously, a fast beat which was barely audible due to the soft carpet. Each time I turned to see the rows of family and friends, the material of my tuxedo shifted noisily. My dad, Dominic, gave me an encouraging smile from the front row.

"Mate, she'll be here soon. Don't worry." Haz patted me gently on the back before pulling me in for a hug.

We didn't hug very often, but if it wasn't appropriate on my wedding day, then when was it?

My heart was beating at what felt like ten thousand miles an hour, anticipation pulsing through my veins. I tried to think of what my beautiful bride would look like, but no image my brain could conjure up seemed to do Lily justice.

The press was calling us a whirlwind romance. It would never last, they said. They be surprised if we even got to the aisle.

But we did it.

Suddenly, the organ starts playing, echoing slightly through the large room. My breath hitches slightly in my chest, and I turn just enough to see the procession walking up the aisle. There was Zendaya and Amy, both looking perfect in pastel bridesmaid dresses. They were loose and floor length, perfectly accenting the vibe of the whole day.

Then came Lily.

She stood heavily on the back of her heels to compensate for the growing bump under her dress. The flowing material masked its appearance, insteading drawing the eye up towards her face. Shimmering beads traced the edges of her bodice, just enough to look stunning. Her deep blue eyes popped from beneath her long eyelashes, and she smiled excitedly, glancing between the guests and myself. She saw me looking, and waved two fingers at me, still keeping hold of her bouquet; fittingly, she held a dripping mass of lilies in her arms.

She drew up to my level, taking my hand as she went up the single step at the front. She passed the flowers to Amy, and positioned herself so she was looking into my eyes.

"We are gathered here today to celebrate the union of..."

The officiator continued with his speech. I looked at my bride, eyes travelling over every inch of her perfect self. My dad had told me I would probably doubt all this, prewedding nerves he said. Everyone had them. But not me. I knew how much I wanted to call her my wife, how everything was so much better with her around. I often tried to tell her just how much I loved her, but words can't really communicate this feeling.

"... do you, Thomas Stanley Holland, take Lily Maria Carson, to be your lawful wedded wife?"

"I do." I smiled at her, almost giggling with pure euphoria.

"And do you, Lily Maria Carson, take Thomas Stanley Holland, to me your lawful wedded husband?"

She placed one hand over my rapidly beating heart, the one which she had stolen the day she met me.

"I do."

Daya squealed excitedly, a blush flushing her cheeks when she realised everyone else was quiet. My mum nodded proudly, a wad of tissues pressed to her teary eyes. Honestly, I was crying a little too.

"You may now kiss the bride."

Before I could kiss her, Lily grabbed my face and crashed my lips into hers. The salty taste of tears mingled with her naturally fruity taste, this single kiss conveying the passionate bliss flooding through our bodies.

"Alright mate, there are kids present," Haz laughed.

I wanted to say I remembered every second of my wedding, but truthfully it all passed by in a wonderful blur. By the end of the day, aching yet content, me and Lily simply flopped onto the bed in the honeymoon suite.

"Hello husband," she grinned, pulling jewelled pins from her hair. Shaking it out a little her curls fell gently to one side.

"Hello my dear wife. You looked stunning today." I smirked, pressing a chaste kiss to her lips.

"You didn't look too bad yourself," She played with my hair, fingers weaving in and out of the strands.

"Has the little one been kicking much?"

"Yeah she's been going wild today! Maybe she knows today is important." The woman looked lovingly at her stomach, smiling fondly at the baby inside.

"I still can't believe you knew what gender she was before the doctors found out. Mothers intuition I guess?" The baby kicked at my hand settled on the exterior of Lily's tummy. I laughed, still getting a rush of emotion every time I felt her kicks.

"Oh Tom, I love you so much. And we're married with a baby on the way! If anyone had told me this was going to happen this time last year, I would've told them they were absolutely insane."

"I know. I'm so happy though." I was silent for a second, and the silence was broken by soft snoring.

Ah, she was asleep.

I chuckled, pulling a blanket over her shoulders gingerly. She didn't wake, clearly exhausted from the amazing day.

"Goodnight beautiful."
