Day 9.
Tom's POV

They needed both me and Lily on set again. In fact, they needed us somewhere else too - at an interview. I had done so many before, but this would be the day Lily was officially revealed as Spiderman's new 'love interest' in the next movie.

I had already prepared breakfast in bed for her, since I knew how utterly terrified she would be. Dropping the finishing touch (a rose - I knew she loved them) into a glass jar, I pushed her door open.

"Lil?" I said quietly.

She rolled over to face me, her eyes wide open.

"Didn't sleep?" I guessed with a chuckle.

She nodded, her hair somehow still gorgeous even in the messy bun it had been left in overnight. Instinctively, I reached out towards it, my hand as usual intertwined into the chocolatey locks.

"I brought you breakfast." Presenting the plate with a flourish, I grinned at her.

Her face grew soft, a whisper of "Oh Tom..." as she pulled the food towards herself. The childish glee in her eyes which she tried hard to conceal made my day, it really did.

"Hey, you know what's today? First interview." My voice remained soft and husky from the cold I was currently suffering from.

Her face fell, lines etching themselves into her forehead.

"At least it's not live. You get to see it way before it's aired, so it'll be okay. And I'll be there, helping you every step of the way." My smile was back again.

"You're right." She said with a yawn, pulling me down to her level and wrapping her arms around my neck tightly, as if I'd dissapear if she let go.

Lily's POV

Knowing wardrobe would sort out my outfit when I got there, my clothes when I came downstairs were as casual as you could get with my loose hoodie and ripped jeans. Tom had clearly followed suit in a basic tee and trainers.

"Ready?" His eyes grew wide.

"Good question." The words escaped my lips before I realised, because really, I didn't know. Was I? This was a big thing. A really big thing. Yet rather than my future, my parents or my looks, the main thing on my mind was whether I would be able to get through hours with Tom without kissing him senseless. As stupid as it sounds, already I wanted to, so how would I be able to hide our more than just friendly relationship?

At the sight of his worried face, I placed a brave smile on my face and grabbed a pair of shoes.

"Showtime."

***

I was stood behind a screen in a slightly over the top outfit, biting my lip in anticipation of the 'big reveal'. In my earpiece, I could hear Tom and the interviewers chatting about the new things going on in the movie, then the conversation moved onto me. Or rather Amy, my character.

"Yeah, so Peter has a new interest in this movie. And let's just say," I could almost feel his sweet smile, "He does much better with her than Liz. They have a lot of fun. And he finally gets to act like a normal teenager for a while. It's really refreshing."

That laugh. Oh, his laugh. This wasn't going to be easy.

"And," a female interviewer's voice was speaking now, "I think the actress behind Amy is here today."

"Yes she is," another interviewer, "please welcome Lily Carson!"

The screen slid to one side. Smile, stand straight, look at the camera, sit right. Get this right. You can do this! I caught Tom's encouraging look in the corner of my eye as I sat down, and I knew he would help me get through this. Breathe.

"Hey!" The first interviewer's American accent was thick, a great contrast to the other Irish guy. "This is the Jenny and Joe show! So, how old are you, and how did you get here? It must've been such a big thing to be part of this massive thing, this massive family!"

I winced at family. No-one noticed luckily, and the lies about my age, my experiences and classes, they rolled straight off my tongue. It wasn't all lies of course - all my childhood stories, my auditions, they were real. And, surprisingly, it was all going well. Really well.

"So, have you and Tom done many romantic scenes together yet?" Joe asked. "There's usually the Spiderman romance, which was rumoured to be between Zendaya and him. Those proved to just be rumours, but what about you two?"

My heart stopped. I was glad for the thick layer of foundation on my face, since that at least slightly concealed my reddening cheeks.

Tom laughed. It was a light, not quite real laugh, perfect for distracting from my slow transformation into a tomato.

"Not quite! That hasn't proved itself recently. If it does, you'll be the first to know!" A cryptic, light-hearted enough answer to give me enough time to regain myself.

Disaster averted.

Everything else went so smooth in comparison, so much so that I was home in what seemed like seconds.

Tom's POV

"Hmm. Good interview baby." I pressed my hand into hers as we sat entwined on the sofa.

"Well. Close enough." The slight movement of her shoulders told me she was giggling.

I let out a soft chuckle.

"Good job you recovered it quick. I was turning into a tomato up there." She continued giggling.

"Well," I moved so that our eyes connected, "You were the hottest tomato I've ever seen."

"Tom-ato." She burst out laughing, but calmed down quickly. "But thank you. I appreciate it."

And she gently pressed her soft, oh so soft lips into mine, her hand cupping my face.

"I don't know how I managed without you, you know." She murmured as she moved back.

"Very well, I'd imagine."

She poked me gently, laughing lightly again.

"No but seriously. I really, really love you." She whispered.

"I really, really love you too baby." My arms found their way around her again, and we drifted to sleep there, still intertwined.

Forever inseperable.
