God I loved road trips.
Coming from a small town in the middle of nowhere, the chance to get in a car and just go, Agh! Love it so much.
I had to drive to a city that wasn't too far off, only about four hours. The show would start in 6 hours, so I had some time to spare. I wore my ripped jeans from H&M, and a pray for the wicked tee shirt I bought recently. My hair was freshly curled, but I brushed it so it was just nice and wavy. Rocking a top knot and some winged eyeliner, what a power-move.

When I actually got to the show, I stared at my passes, Front row seats, and one lucky person in the front row would get chosen to be VIP and go meet Brendon after the show. God I would die to do that.
My seat was A27, about directly in the center, just how I liked it. It was an amazing view, as it should be since these tickets were freaking expensive.
The timer on the screen counted down. My friend, Paige, and I started getting all jittery, and freaking out. She was more of a Fall Out Boy fan, but I didn't want to go alone, so I convinced her to buy tickets. She was a trust fund kid anyway, it wouldn't hurt her.
Music blared from the speakers, and Brendon came bouncing onto the stage.
Silver Lining was playing. Not my favorite out of the new album, but it was one hell of a bop nonetheless.
My fist pumped in the air as I bounced up and down to the beat of the music, my glasses almost falling off my face I was so hyper.
They sang and sang, Brendon bounced and flipped and wailed the hell out of his songs. God damn this was the best night of my life.
Near the half way mark of the show, they announced who would be getting the VIP ticket.

My fingers were crossed as Brendon pulled a small slip of paper out of a jar.
"And the winner is....." the suspense was killing me, why couldn't he just get to the point. I actually had a chance of meeting him for once!!
"A39!" My heart sunk. Of course it wouldn't be me. Why did I even have hope.
Speaking of hope, High Hopes started playing. I could tell by the intro on the band instruments.
I wasn't going to let my loss ruin my good time, so I enjoyed this concert, because I knew I would never get even a small chance to be this close to Brendon ever again.
His voice was sweet music to my ears, his piano playing sent chills down my spine, his jokes made me laugh harder than ever, and at some points of the show I would imagine he was looking at me.
He wasn't
I'm not that special.
I'm drab, bland, boring..
Like a Monday.
