2 Years later

Opal is now 1  and a half, and boy does she look like Zach

I haven't seen or talked to him since that day, my boyfriend Austin tells me all the time to quit worrying about him

But I can't, I mean I don't want to keep him from his own child

Maybe I should call him to see if he wants to see Opal

                       •2 Hours Later•

I went to the store to get some more baby food for Opal because she had been running low

But as I was there I heard a very familiar voice, Zachary Herron

"Hey Emma?" Dang it he seen me

"Oh hey Zach, I didn't see you. How are you doing" I asked

"I'm fine how are you, how's the baby?"

"Oh she's good she almost 2!"

Then that's when I heard her voice, he was still with that slut

Right when I seen her turn the corner my smile dropped

"Oh..um look Zach it was nice see you again but I um... I should go Opals probably waiting for me"

"Oh who's opal?" This bitch I swear

"My daughter" me and Zach say at the same time.

I looked at him a slightly smiled

"Right anyway I should be going now, Goodbye Zachary"

He then grabbed my wrist, pulling me back

"Wait what's your phone number, I want to see opal sometime"

"Oh yeah of course it (xxx-xxx-xxxx) call anytime you want to see her and we can meet up somewhere"

"Yes I would love that"

"Ok bye Zach"

As I was checking out, I heard Zach's voice behind me

"Ok ma'am your total is 34.56$"

I reached down to grab my card to pay then I heard Zach's voice again

"No Emma it's ok I got this one"

I looked at him shocked "Um...ok thank you"

After he payed I got my stuff and left

Me-Hello

Unknown- Is this Emma, It's Zach

Me-Oh yeah this is me

Unknown- Um...I was wondering if I could visit with opal today if that was ok with you

Me-Uh...Yeah that's fine as long as you bring her back in 2 hours

Unknown- Ok I will thank you so much Emma

Me-No problem Zach

                       Call ended

"Hey babe who was that"

"Oh that was opals dad, I guess he finally wants to reconnect with her"

"Well finally he wants to step up and be a dad, I mean I will take her in if he doesn't want her. But I mean who wouldn't want her look at that face"

He said walking over to her carefully squeezing her cheeks

I know that I made the right choice keeping him around for her, Maybe Zach will finally want to step up as a father
