as a child, yoongi's parents always told him to stay away from the bloodsuckers. they'd tell him the tall tales of how scary vampires were. he recalled all the times his parents would lock him away in the house when the sun was no longer visible. they may be a family of full blood witches, but they were no high ranked witches. they were just a family of coven-less plant witches that lived deep in the forest.
sure, they had powers and could make potions, but vines and sleep potions could only hold back an overpowered being for so long. as a safety precaution, the mins rather keep their sons well protected from any potential threats. it worked, but not for long.
at the bright age of fifteen, the young witch grew curious of the world outside their old house. he wanted to travel deeper into the forest. meet new people, maybe make new friends. like any other teenager going through their rebellious phase, yoongi disobeyed his parents.
while they were too busy to pay attention to him, yoongi snuck out of the house. he walked right out of the house protective barrier – worn-down wooden fencing. he ran into the forest that his parents had always forbidden him from entering.
young yoongi ran into the woods with one hand holding down his hat. he used his other hand to run his fingers against the overgrown grass that had no one tending to them. yoongi stopped running when he noticed himself losing his breath. he decided to slow down and take a proper look at the forest. "it's not scary like mom and dad said," the little witch talked to himself.
"are you done having fun? we should get back home before my parents return." yoongi narrowed his eyes to see a pair of boys coming in his direction.
the shorter boy nudged the taller one. "relax, hyung. aren't you tired of being cooped at home learning about lame history facts?"
the taller boy shrugged his shoulders, "yeah, i guess you're–" the tall boy stopped in his footsteps when he saw the pale boy a bit away from him. he took a sniff of the air, "witch." the boy knew very well of the complicated relationship between vampires and witches. neither species liked one another and if this witch was like any of his ancestors then he'd kill them. "taehyung, we should go," the boy reached out for the shorter but realized the empty space next to him.
in a split second, taehyung was in front of the witch. unlike the older, taehyung refused to believe all that nonsense about hating each other. the young vampire couldn't stand there and believe that this skinny looking witch would even dare to hurt him. "hi." taehyung flashed a smile causing his fangs to show.
instead of cowering in fear, yoongi's eyes twinkled with fascination. he walked closer to the vampire. the witch raised his arm up as the urge in him to touch the vampire's face increased. however, before he could lay a finger on it, his arm was held by the wrist by a strong force. the other male was now by their side. his eyes glowed with red and his fangs were visible. "don't you dare hurt him, witch."
