Three days after they got back was a Monday morning. She left all his messages and his coffee on his desk for him. When he came in she was replying to emails for him then he saw his stuff on his desk. He sat down and he spun his chair and closed his eyes. 

"Still jet lag." Steve said 

"Not really." he said 

"Did you make the deal happen in Madrid?' Steve said

"Yeah I did." he said as he hands him the contracts. 

"Good..I'm going to Dublin to get mine finished up tomorrow so I'll see you when I get back." Steve said 

"Good luck." Bucky said

"You sure you are alright?' Steve said 

"Yeah..I'm great." he said 

Steve left his office then Bucky started to work on a new contract. When it was lunch time she got his usual and brought it in then laid it down on his desk then he stopped her before she could leave.

"What are you doing?' he said 

"I'm doing my job as your PA Mr Barnes." she said 

He shook his head and he said "where's my Lindsey at?' 

"I have no idea what you are talking about. I'm doing my job being a professional about this no more personal bullshit for me." she said then she walked out then said "I'll be back later I have a doctor's appointment." 

Lindsey left and then went to her doctor's appointment.

"Ok Mrs Baxter why are you here by yourself." Dr Cooper said

"It's Ms Hamilton now. We are going through a divorce right now so um the 3 embryos that I had you freeze you can just dump them. If I ever decide that I want to try and have a baby I will just use new ones." she said 

"Lindsey.." Dr Cooper said as she hugged her. 

She left her doctor's appointment and got her new birth control packs then came back to the office. She deleted Lucas's number and their pictures as she wiped tears Bucky was in his office with his door open since she was gone. 

He heard her sniffling and he walked out and he said "hey why are you upset?' 

"I told you no more personal stuff." she said 

"Lindsey.. I said I was sorry. " he said 

"I just need to be alone can I take the rest of the day." she said 

He looked down and said "Yeah sure." 

She gathered her stuff up and he sat down at her desk when she left and sighed. Then he saw her planner open and saw Dr Cooper 1PM then he went into his office and googled Dr Cooper to find out she was a fertility specialist.

"Why would she be going to a fertility specialist." he whispered 

Bucky sat there trying to figure out what could possibly had her so upset when she got back. Then his wife walked in and she said "Bad time honey?'

"Oh no just ready to done with the day. Lindsey needed to take the rest of the day." he said 

A few days later she came back in Bucky was at his desk then she said "Thank you for letting me have some time." 

"Lindsey come here." he said 

She walked in chewing the inside of her lip he shut the door and he pulled her In between his legs as he leaned against his desk. 

"Lindsey please stop this professional attitude with me I liked the playful one this one makes me feel like you are mad at me. I know you are holding my secret darlin I know it's hard but Lindsey it makes my day easier when you are yourself not some robot." he said 

She looked down and lifted her chin. "You seem to have been more angry at me when we got back and I hadn't seen you in two days." 

She looked at him and said "Lucas left me for someone else." 

"Okay well that would certainly explain why I got the residual anger Monday morning. Can I ask who Dr Cooper is?' he said 

She wiped tears and said "I have endometriosis and it makes it hard for me to have babies. We have tried the treatments and we tried the invitro. We were in the process of picking a surrogate I had 3 embryos frozen for when we found one. My appointment the other day was me going to tell her that she could dump them that I will just another time whenever that happens again if it ever does." 

Bucky's face went white and she said "James are you okay?'

'I need to lay down." he said as he laid down on his couch. 

Lindsey walked over to him confused and said "What did I say?' 

"Just give a minute." he said 

Then he said "Lindsey in my desk drawer with the key on it open it." 

She walked over to his desk and she unlocked the drawer and he said "Pull out the shoe box." 

She pulled out the shoe box and she opened it up. She picked up the pictures of him and a girl.

"You were a cute teenager." she said

"Shut up.." he said 

She saw the girl and felt like she was looking in a mirror and said "This is Raelynn." 

"Yeah..see why I felt like I was seeing a ghost." he said

"Yeah.." she said 

He sat up and said "Lindsey I sat in a doctor's office with her and had a doctor tell her the same thing you just told me." 

He came over to her and he picked up one of the pictures. "It crushed her at 15 and she looked at me and asked me if I was going to leave her. We were 15 and in love and I swore to her that no matter what I would never leave her then 6 months later she was taken from me." 

"I didn't mean to upset you James. You asked me I was .." he cut her off and said "No don't you didn't upset me it's just I always remember her. I keep this here cause it's the only place I have that's mine and I don't have to answer questions." 

She looked down then said "I should get back to work." 

He stopped her and said "I need two tickets to France one suite." 

"Why two tickets Steve is in Dublin." she said

"Cause you are going with me." he said 

"James I told you." she said 

"Please I won't let you see it. You don't have to go to the dinners just the meetings." he said 

She bit her lip and looked down "Lindsey I need you there." 

"Okay." She said then left his office. 

He looked down at the picture and whispered "Rae baby god what are you doing." then put the picture back in the box and then put it up.
