Life must be playing a trick on me. This was not real. It was all a joke and it just was not real. I mean it couldn’t be real. Jacob would not ask me to the ball. Hell, he knew that I wouldn’t say yes to him. But why do I have this warm feeling in my chest and flutters in my stomach.
“So what do you say princess?” Asks Jacob as I turn around looking stunned.
I regain composure. “Is this a joke?” I ask accusingly. “Are you trying to make a fool out of me?”
Jacob takes a step back and holds out his hands in defense. “I know that you didn’t have a date to the ball and I wanted to make up for the awkward situation with your friends and Candace.”
I almost believe him but remember that this was Jacob. “What’s the catch?” I retort eyeing him up.
“No catch.”
I examine him one more time to see if he was lying or not. And I see nothing. He actually looks sincere. Well that’s a first.
I give in. “Fine. I’ll go with you. But no funny business.”
“Yes ma’am.” He salutes and gives me a cheeky grin. “Now let’s go.”
“Go where?” I ask showing my confusion. “I’m taking you out for lunch.”
I raise my eyebrows at him.
“Look, I know you have no plans and I know that you’re hungry.”
As if on cue my stomach grumbles and he chuckles.
“Okay fine, let’s go.”

“Oh my god.” I squeal. This is the best thing I’ve ever eaten. Jacob had taken me to a vintage restaurant in down town that sold the best deep dish pizza known to man. This place had wooden style seats and an 80’s pub vibe that I loved. The waitresses wore skin tight corsets to show off their waists and skirts that left little to the imagination. We were seated on the far right corner of the restaurant that had an oak table with two beige colored chairs. It wasn’t so fancy but the food was amazing.
I ordered an organic spinach pizza with roasted chicken and honey glaze that was to die for. Jacob got a pasta Alfredo and we both decided on iced tea. At least that was something we had in common.
I take around bite of the goodness in front of me and let out a soft moan.
“Don’t need to get sexual princess.”
I choke on my pizza and the waitress who walks by gives me a disturbed look. I ignore her and quickly gulp down my glass of water.
“You’re being awfully nice you know.”
He sighs and looks at me. “Okay fine. I’ll tell you the real reason why I took you out for lunch.”
He takes a sip of water to prolong my aggravation of him taking way too long to tell what was going on.
“You know how your parents were supposed to come back today?”
My intake of breath sharpens.
“Well they had to extend their trip.” He pauses. “So you’re going to have to stay with me for another month.” He quickly says in one breath.
I open my mouth to protest but he interrupts.
“So to avoid being ambushed by your protests I decided to bring you to a public place so you wouldn’t try to kill me.” He lets out with a sheepish grin.
I close my eyes and try to calm my breathing down.
“I won’t try to murder you.” I begin. “But only on one condition.”
“Go ahead.”
I continue. “You shall don’t verbally, mentally or visually harass me in any way. So that means no disgusting screams when I’m home, no taunting, no tormenting and absolutely to parading around the house in all your shirtless glory.”
“But what about-“
“No not even your pant less glory.” I cut off.
He seems to contemplate my little deal and takes his hand out to make it official.
“You’ve got yourself a deal then.”

The next morning.
“This dress is gorgeous.” Says Cara in awe. It was indeed beautiful. The dress was a subtle peach color with a sweet heart neckline and a bejeweled bodice. The upper portion of the dress was filled with diamonds and few were scattered around the skirt. The skirt billowed out and I could tell that Cara had fallen in love with it.
“Go try it on.” I say to her with a knowing smile.
She grins at me and rushes to the changing rooms.
“I can’t find a damn dress.” A frustrated Lana groans. We had gone to six dress shops and Cara was the only person who had found something she liked.
Then she gasps. Her eyes get really wide and her mouth stays agape.
It was a jet black chiffon dress with an almost crocheted bodice and a sweetheart neckline. The bodice was cinched with a diamond interlocking belt and the skirt billowed out into rose like patterns. Let’s just say that if there was a dress that Lana would want to marry, it was that dress.
“I need that dress.” She breathes out as she rushes towards the mannequin who had that on. After the clerk helps her take it off the display she rushes towards the dressing room.
The dressing room was extravagant. With blush white sofas and cream colored carpets, and a crystal chandelier that hung from the high ceiling. The room was divided into the lounge area and the actual changing rooms with white doors.
Cara steps out from one of the white doors and my jaw drops. She looks beautiful. The light colored dress goes with her fair but slightly tanned skin and blonde hair. I clap in delight as she gives me and spin.
“That dress was made for you.”
She beams at my compliment. Right at that moment, Lana steps out look like the Queen of Darkness.
Okay that may have been a bit of an exaggeration but the black dress brought out her white, alabaster skin stone. Least to say, she looked stunning. They both purchase their dresses and we exit the boutique. “I’m going head home.” Says Cara as she gives me a hug and leaves. “Me too.” Says Lana as she follows Cara’s suit.
I wave goodbye and make my way across the street to this new boutique in town. I walk in and see two people I was least expecting to see together.
Candace and Jason.
------
Reminder: Jason was Jacob’s best friend who had asked Lana to the Ball.
A/N: The picture there is of Cara’s dress and in the next chapter I’ll post Lana’s since watt pad doesn’t allow two pictures at a time. Btw I never revise my chapter so don’t be afraid to point out those little grammar bitches. Don’t forget to vote!
And remember 5 votes = New update. <3
