Early update! Your welcome :* Picture to the side/ top is of Sophia's outfit.

The first thought that goes through my head when I wake up is, JACOB FREAKING WHATS HIS LAST NAME LIKES ME? I don’t remember much about the love part but I hope that he hasn’t fallen in love with me because that would make things awkward. I don’t know how I felt towards him but he had saved me twice. First after I got super drunk at the party and then last night. He was infuriating and frustrating as fuck but I guess I did have a teensy bit of crush on him. And hey, he was my date to the ball so why not?

Jumping out of bed, I rushed to the restroom to freshen up and look presentable. As presentable as a person can look at nine in the morning. I hop down the stairs feeling all peppy and see Jacob standing in front of the stove cooking waffles.

“Good morning Jacob.” I say with a huge smile on my face. This catches him off guard since he looks at me like I have grown an extra head. He quickly covers his shocked expression with a much more pleasant one.

“Well you seem oddly happy today.” He says while placing a waffle in front of me. I give him another smile and dig into my waffle. “So what do you want to do today?” I ask. “Well, we do have school but since we both overslept we can just ditch the rest of the day.” He seats himself next to me and begins gobbling down his waffle.

Few moments pass by in silence and he finally speaks up again. “We can go on a picnic?” He suggests. I look at him with wide eyes. “You? And me? Going on a picnic? Like the ones with the wrapped sandwiches, apple cider and wicker baskets?”

“That’s the one.” He says with a grin. I decide on whether to agree to this picnic. I mean it would be the perfect way to get to know him better. Just the two of us. Under some tree, talking the day away. The thought of that brings a smile to my face. “That sounds great.” I say with a grin on my face. “I’m going to go get ready.” I hop off the chair and make my way upstairs. I guess this was a date? Wasn’t it? I mean he never really said it was one but it felt like it. Wasn’t the definition of a date, like two people who think they are more than friends sharing a meal? Even if it wasn’t this was still a date to me.

It may seem like I was rushing into this but I hadn’t felt anything for a guy since Stephen. And a part of me had already decided that Jacob was the good guy. He was never going to hurt me. Plus I wasn’t even in love. It was just two people who liked each other. And since I knew of his feelings for me, I technically had the upper hand.

Now all I have to do is decide what to wear. Since it was still a bit warm outside I chose a light blue, summery A-line dress and paired it with heels. Simple and casual without trying to say ‘NOTICE ME.’

Left my hair down and just messed it up a bit and walked down the stairs to see Jacob holding an old fashioned wicker basket. Might I say, he looked dashing. A white button down folded at the sleeves with simple khaki pants. Classy yet sexy. I might’ve even drooled a bit.

“Shall we mi ’lady?” Jacob asks with a surprisingly fantastic British accent. “We shall.” I reply with my horrid British accent.

“So where exactly are you taking me?” I ask as we proceed towards the outskirts of town. “You’ll see.” He says surreptitiously. That bastard! At least he was being sweet today. Which was a bit odd since all he used to do was tease and taunt me. I roll my eyes at him playfully and continue looking out the window at the beautiful scenery.

Before he stops the car he tells to take a blindfold out of his glove compartment. “Why do you want me to cover my eyes?” I ask while holding the black blindfold in my hand. “I just want your picnic spot to be a surprise.”
