The Cure to Anger

Drifting on the sea
not a care in the world
The sea dark as the night sky
warmth hugs my sides

When the fire in my eyes burns
and the smoke threatens and yells
to be let free
I can't.
I can't let it.
Every time the beast is set loose
Havoc is wreaked.

The smoke and the fires need somewhere to burn
need to burn all the debris
from that day's fierce winds

So I let my mind float
Up through the deep blue seas
Into the deep blue skies
Where the waves become clouds
and the boats morph into the heavens above

My eyes are closed
so are my thoughts
and the gates to my emotions

My angry fires will burn in my dreams only
