Chapter 6

Ella's POV

Dang

"Wake up, sleepy head" Lucy yelled on top of her voice, hitting me with a pillow. Why can't I get a good sleep today.

"Leave me alone, its Saturday " I said with a dull voice, lying back on my bed.

"Come on, we are going to the mall" she pleaded hitting me with a pillow for the second time. I couldn't take it anymore.

"Okay... but why? " I shrugged and sat up with my mouth pouted.

"We are going to buy dresses and others things, its my treat. So be a good girl and get your feet down here. You have nine minutes left". She smiled and left my room.

I got up from my bed and entered my bathroom. I brushed my teeth and took a long relaxing shower. I wrapped my towel around me as I entered my bedroom looking at my reflection on the mirror, I blow dried my hair. I got dress on my green cropped top and white pant with a cream crotchet sandals. I went downstairs to put something in my stomach. I was really starving like hell.

Lucy was already eating her breakfast, she didn't notice I was standing near her. I have friends that are engrossed with food. I tap on the table to let her know I was here.

"I have been waiting for you Ella, eat something " she said shoving my food to me as I sat down on one of the chairs.

For two hours now, we have been walking to and fro in the mall and worst of it is that we are carrying baggages filled with accessories, shoes, clothes, make-up. Holy mother of crabs, like when did we buy all these, am really dying of hunger.

"Lucy am tired, can we rest a little "I pleaded with my puppy eyes.

"Come on, we are almost done " I don't blame her. She goes to shopping every Saturdays, she was use to it. We rounded up and we left the mall.

"Am really hungry, let's get something to eat " Lucy said pointing at the McDonald's nearby.

"Yeah, sure"

did she read my mind?

I am exhausted not because I went shopping with Lucy but that Lucy made me eat a lot. Imagine eating half a pizza and a burger to yourself, my stomach hurts. It was late in the evening when we arrived home.

"Thank you so much for everything Lucy, I don't know what I'd do without you." I said hugging her as she hugged me tightly. Now am regretting, I shouldn't have hugged her at first. I forgot she was an addict and....oh my goodness, I can't breath anymore .

"Oh Ella, you can always count on me, by the way what are friends for?" She said with her sweet voice still hugging me more tightly. Okay, now I can hear my bone crack more like crush.

"Goodnight Ella, am really sleepy" she let go off me and yawned running upstairs to her room.

"Goodnight sleepy head "

I went upstairs to my room and took a shower. I wore my red short nightgown and lay on my comfy bed, how I love my bed, it's so cute and cuddly but I couldn't sleep. My stomach is heavy and I need to go for a walk to lighten up, I put on my big puffy white jacket and left for a walk.

I shivered as the night cold air hit me as I leave the house. It was an estate, the environment was always quiet and peaceful. I noticed the streetlights were lined with huge spaces in between, I started counting one after the other as I drifted to my own thought.

I remembered my parents, we were the most happiest family ever. I was adorned by their love, they would never argue in front of me. They were so much in love with each other like peas and carrots. I missed them a lot.

Jason's POV

I was driving home just after having dinner with one of my business partner. I noticed a girl walking slowly with her head down, she looks familiar and troubled and it was Daniela, my long lost Daniela. I drove towards her and pulled over. I walked behind her but she didn't notice.

Why was she out by this time of the day? What was she doing? Was she kicked out by her friend?

Oh ,shut up Jason!!!. My subconscious scolded me.

I was walking behind her and I decided to block her way because if I don't, she won't get my attention.

"Hello pretty " I gave her a smile but she didn't respond. I couldn't understand the expression on her face but she was possessed with a type of natural beauty that you didn't often see in Australia. Her short red nightgown, made her look more alluring, though she was putting on a big puffy jacket, I could still make out what she was wearing inside. She's so glamorous and breathtaking.

Ella's POV

I was still staring at the person before me. It was Jason, I can't believe I would see him again. His hair were neatly brushed, his perfect broad chest making his suit to fit him. I felt like drowning in his perfect hazel eyes, his beard was well carved. He didn't know how much I missed him.

I didn't know what to say, I was speechless at the moment. "Hey " I said, putting my hands in my jacket pocket so he won't notice I was quivering. I was nervous.

"You remember me from the party, right?" Jason asked with a smile on his face and that was the cutest smile ever.

"Ohh... um.. yeah" I stuttered. I don't know why I have formed the habit of embarrassing myself, each passing day.

"Daniela, what are you doing here alone in the middle of the night?" wow he did remembered my name. I taught he had forgotten me a long time ago.

"Am just going for a walk" I said.

"It's still risky for you to come out by this time of the night all alone. You can at least go with someone, huh?" he said with a serious tone. He was just acting like my overprotective father, how I missed him.

"My bad" I kept my gaze low.

He touched my cheeks, tilting it upwards as I felt tingling sensation from his touch. "Is just that I don't want anything to happen to you" he smiled holding my hand. "Are you hungry, I can take you..."

"Thank you but am full already" I cut him off.

"Okay, why don't you come with me to my car, I can drive you back home" I smiled and nodded. He opened the door for me to enter then I got in. I gave him the direction back home. I couldn't believe I'd walked so long.

There was an awkward moment in the car, he kept stealing glances at me and I spent my time gawking his car. It was beautiful. I didn't notice we have reached already. He left the car and opened the door for me. How generous and gentlemanly.

I was still mesmerized by his car, I have never entered this type of luxurious car before. It was polished and tinted, the inside was cool but it gave me warmth at the same time. It was comfortable and it felt like home. I don't even know the name. I just wish I could stay.

"Thank you for the ride" I said.

"Daniela..."he said quietly, the way my name sound from his mouth was intoxicating. He had a good accent. I could hear my heart beating faster."Have a goodnight" he said.

"Goodnight" He waited for me to enter. I opened the door and shot it immediately.

Pheww....

I went to kitchen, opened the fridge and took out a cold canned water from it. I opened it and gulped as much as I could. I went up to my room and lay on my bed. I closed my eyes to sleep but his image kept popping in and out of my mind. Suddenly, I drifted off to the wonder land, wondering what categories my dream would fall in.
