Maymay is about to open another bottle of beer but Ed quickly snatched it away from her hands.

"That's enough Dale. Pangatlo na yan." He said. Not bothering to hide that he is not amused at all.

But she only giggled at his reprimanding tone though and even tried to get the bottle back. "Gimme that, I'm fine."

However, he was quicker to avoid that. "No. You're clearly not."

"Ed, promise I'm fine. Inom pa tayo. One last, one last." She insisted then raised both of her index fingers in a poor attempt to backed her words.

He just shook his head. She maybe a little sober earlier but the woman is obviously, undoubtedly, already very drunk right now. Anyone could easily tell that.

I really should not have agreed to that bucket upgrade. Came his regretful thoughts.

He sighed. "No, you're dru....."

But he wasn't able to finish what he's saying because....

"OH MY GOSH!" She exclaimed out of the blue.

"What?" Alarmed, he asked.

But she just answered him with another question instead. "Do you hear that?"

With that, all of a sudden, a very familiar song filled the air.

Swaying room as the music starts.
Strangers making the most of the dark....

He chuckled.

"The band is playing for quite a while now, ngayon mo lang napansin? Lasing ka na nga." He told her, totally assuming that she was refering to the existence of the band.

She shook her head vigorously. "No, no! I mean do you hear what just started playing? Crazy For You! They are doing a cover of Madonna's Crazy For You! One of my favorite songs!"

Two by two their bodies become one....

"Ahhh okay." He nodded casually. Understanding finally dawned on him.

She snorted, utterly disappointed by his lack of enthusiasm on the subject. "You don't like the song?"

He shrugged. "It's just alright. I'm not much of a Madonna fan."

"Weird." She accused which earned a few cackles from him. "Ako, I'm a big fan. She's such an icon kaya! Actually everytime I hear her songs, I kinda feel a sudden urge to dance. Kahit na mellow pa yan." She laughed.

"Mmmmhhmnn." He agreed diplomatically, not wanting to prolong the argument.

I see you through the smokey air....

Then suddenly a thought strucked on her head.

"Hmnn I wonder..." She whispered then turned her eyes to Ed first, then onto the makeshift platform located at the east side of the stage which obviously serves as that bar's mini dance floor. A huge smile forming her lips

Can't you feel the weight of my stare....

He quickly caught up with what she's brewing though and quickly said, "Uh uh whatever you are thinking I won't par....."  But his attempt to protest was instantly thwarted when she grabbed his hand and pulled him up to stand.

You're so close but still a world away....

"Let's dance Ed." She croaked merrily.

Oh what I'm dying to say....

He looked at her eager face for a while before eventually sighed. "Fine. Just one song okay?"

I'm crazy for you touch me once and you'll know its true....

"Yey! Let's go!" She exclaimed and proceeded to drag him onto the dance floor.

I never wanted anyone like this.
It's all brand new....

Ed would be lying if he'll say that he really wanted to go. Because he doesn't. But somehow, the urge of not wanting to make her feel disappointed is stronger that his very own desire and that really surprises him. Especially over the fact that he rarely feel this way towards people who are just barely close to him, and practically, never to those whom he considered as stranger; which is what a woman he just met a few hours ago exactly is

You'll feel it in my kiss....

What the heck is wrong with me? He spat to himself mentally.

I'm crazy for you....
