Magnus and Alec strolled through Central Park hand in hand in silence. The gentle fall breeze brushed against them. It was a beautiful day full of warmth, sun and falling leaves.
"So Magnus," Alec started. "Now that all this has passed us. What with the defeat of Lilith and jace being rescued, I really just want to thank you." Since Alec realized what Magnus has done for his family, he's felt a weight of guilt and responsibility. He knows that Magnus will never blame him for his sacrifices but nevertheless it was how he felt.
"My dearest Alexander, you don't have to thank me, and you don't have to feel responsible. I chose to trade my powers and I accept my choice." Magnus put his hand on Alec's face and looked into his eyes " I would do anything for you."

"I love you so much Magnus, you don't even understand."
As Alec leaned in for a kiss, he was interrupted by a gush of wind, furiously blowing in their faces. They squinted to see what was causing this. Behind the flurry of wind and leaves, a pair of dark red eyes peaked out. Smoke rised and from that flew out a dozen demons. Alec reached for his seraph blades and Magnus stepped back knowing without his powers he'd just be in the way. The demons seemed to have their sights set on Magnus and beelined towards him. Alec strikes each demon that flew towards Magnus, spinning around to attack any that slipped by. One of the more cunning demons flew behind and bared its fangs as it prepared to attack Magnus. with a swift movement of his arms, Magnus took out a blade that was hidden in his boot and struck the demon making it disintegrate to a puff of fiery ash.
Alec handled the rest of the demons. After the last demon fell, they stood in silence awaiting the next wave. No more demons emerged from the black smoke. After a minute of waiting, a rich, dark voice spoke from beyond the smoke "Magnus bane, Son of Asmodeus, I'm coming for you." The smoke then dispersed, leaving Magnus and Alec both stunned.
"So since when did you start carrying a weapon?" Alec asked.
"Oh Alexander, this is merely a precaution. You can't possibly believe that I'll walk around completely unarmed do you?"
"That's a good idea Magnus, I never knew that you're skilled at wielding a blade."
"After centuries of being alive, living through wars, I've learned a thing or two. No doubt however, a little rusty. Maybe we can find some time for you to help me polish my skills a little?" Magnus asked playfully.
"Maybe," said Alec, his face turning serious. "But first, we need to figure out what that demon was and why it's targeting you."
