-(y/n) POV-
I leaned back into my chair and took a look around the room, the other students either on their phones or napping. I noticed a pink-haired Meif'wa near the back of the classroom. I also took note of the blue-haired girl, who sat in the back corner of the room. I turned my head to the door and I chuckled a bit as I saw a young woman enter the room. Within further inspection, it was Aphmau. Huh, never thought that could happen in homeroom since I'm a senior. She noticed me right away and waved. I, of course, waved back.
"Aphmau?" A female voice called out.
Our attention turned in the direction of the voice and it was the blue haired woman. I groaned under my breath as I looked up to the ceiling. Irene, please don't tell me that's the friend Aph was telling me about. No matter, I'm still going to lie anyways.
Aph ran to her friend, named Katelyn, and gave her a hug. The two went on talking and the pink haired Meif'wa, whose name was Kawaii~Chan--odd name--chimed in. I probably should not be eavesdropping into their conversation so I moved my ears down. Then I heard that Aph's phone was missing and the ensuing panic.
"Maybe you left in your locker?" Kawaii~Chan asked.
"I haven't put stuff in my locker yet!" Aphmau answered, still in a panic.
The pink haired Meif'wa brought up that maybe her friend left it in her bag. Aph, of course, denied it. Katelyn wondered if she even brought it at all. I raised an eyebrow since I remembered her taking a selfie with Kacey and I.
"I used it to call someone before homeroom!"
"Maybe you dropped it somewhere?" Kawaii~Chan said.
"It might be near the principal's office, that's where I made the call," Aph had a realization. "I got to get back there before-"
The intercom interrupted her thought. Through the speaker, a male voice spoke about the first assembly that will be taking place after another bell would ring. He also mentioned stuff about the club tables outside.
"Well it looks like you won't get your phone yet..." Katelyn told Aph, who was getting a bit stubborn about her phone, saying that she has to have it.
I will spare you the rest of the words I heard. The blue haired girl mentioned about the trouble the dark brunette could get into and the Meif'wa said that she'll also be mentoring the event with her. Aph said she'll quickly find it and left the room after Kawaii~Chan took a selfie.
We all left the classroom and headed for the assembly hall. I kept taking glances at Katelyn and Kawaii~Chan albeit quickly to not seem like a creep. We all made it to the room, sitting down at a chair. I stayed behind as I saw Kacey sitting a chair away from someone.
"H-Hey, (y/n)!" He waved to me.
"Kacey, Hey!" I walked to him and sat down next to him.
"H-How have you been?"
"I've been great but I haven't talked to anyone new yet."
"Same! Everyone in my class is so confident and hasn't said a word to me yet."
"Don't worry about it. I'm sure that they'll come around one day. Still, I'm your friend, right?"
"Y-Yeah! You're my second friend after Aphmau. Well, third if my big sister is considered..."
"Big sister? You have one?" I never knew that he had one. He nods in response.
"Yeah, her name is-" He cut himself to look at someone just coming in. I turned my head to see Aphmau running in and sitting in front of us.
