-(y/n) POV-
Sitting through a lesson of Witchcraft is like taking a nap that you forgot about. It's boring and you still get something out of it. That might not be the best comparison but whatever. The only pro of being in the class is the chance to have experiments on Fridays. But alas, it is not that day. I sat in my seat behind the front row, taking notes about the forever potion. This potion is quite a marvel. A person will have light green eyes and be mind controlled. Their bodies will act on their own, but the memories of the control stay with them after they are normal.
"Now who would like to be controlled as a subject?" The teacher asked, looking around the room.
I heard whispers saying that the teacher is insane for wanting to do this. I grew afraid of what was going to happen.
"No one? How about you?" Her gaze was on me.
"All right," I got out of my seat and went to the front of the room.
I gulped and took a nervous breath. In her hand was a forever potion. The blue accents of the bottle were a deep shade. I braced myself and she threw the potion. My body felt light and I was trapped.
"Now you are an outgoing person and will break through the window," The teacher said.
"All right Master! Let's do this!" I was pumped up and ran to the window that overlooked the hallway. I dove through the glass and laughed.
"What else do you want me to do Master?" The smile was already making my face ache. I entered back into the classroom and another potion was thrown at me.
"Ugh..." I laid on the floor, head aching, heavily breathing.
"That is the after effect of the forever potion when the antidote is used. If the forever potion is not cured within an amount of time, the effects will become permanent. Thank you Mr. (l/n)."
"No problem," I muttered, getting up from the floor.
The window was fixed by a spell as I walked back to my desk. My head laid down onto my arms, groaning under my breath. Irene, that is a fate worse than death. The bell rang for the class to be done. The teacher ended class, leaving us with a test two days from now. The other students left really quick. I was sluggish to get out from my desk.
"Mr. (L/n), you'll be fine in a few minutes. I'll help walk you to the nurse's office."
"Thank you so much..." I grabbed my bag and my arm was around her shoulder.
As we walked to the nurse's office, my eyes were drooping. The forever potion really takes a lot of energy from the system.
"How are you holding up?" The teacher asked, my eyes meeting with her reds.
"I'm...fine. Just...drained," I managed to say. My eyes then closed and the world turned dark.
-Dream-
I sprang up awake and controlled my breathing. Looking around, I was in my old house, my old room. It looked new. There was no furniture and the walls weren't painted my favorite color. The sun peered through the windows. I went to the door and walked out into the hallway.
"Why am I here?" I asked myself as I walked around.
No furniture anywhere. It felt unnecessarily...normal. I heard a vehicle pull up in the driveway. Looking out the window, it was a moving truck. Out came a younger dad and...mom, holding me as a baby. This was the day we moved in.
Immediately, I was flooded with emotions, the memories of the incident. A weight pulled me down to the wooden floor. My hands and knees were planted on the floor.
