A Date That Lead to Rebels

The day has finally come. (Y/n) combed his hair along the fur on his ears and tail. Like most people going out for the first time, he was nervous about hanging out with Katelyn for the day. He planned on the two heading to a cafe and then the mall to buy something. A nervous breath escaped his mouth as he put the comb down. His heart was beating out of his chest.

"I have to calm down. I can't have myself riled up on this," The Meif'wa said to himself, trying but failing.

"It's almost time to go...oh, Irene, please help me."

(Y/n) left his room wearing a (f/c) polo shirt and khakis. He wore his regular shoes so it wouldn't be so businesslike. This outfit was only for the hangout and he felt it was a bit much. He didn't want to go super casual or look like he was going to a meeting. To be honest, he never was able to understand fashion. Once he made it down to the ground floor, he caught the attention of his father.

"Where are you going?" His dad asked, looking from the living room.

"I'm going to hang out with someone," He said, trying to hide his nervousness.

(Kiran/(f/n)): "Oh, are you hanging with Aphmau?"

(y/n): "No, I'm hanging out with one of her friends."

(Kiran/(f/n)): "What time do you think you'll be back?"

(y/n): "Maybe around...4 or 5?"

(Kiran/(f/n)): "All right. Have fun and don't do anything I wouldn't do!"

(y/n): "Thanks dad."

The nervousness was already starting to consume him. He checked if everything was on him. His wallet, keys and his phone were on him so he's relieved. Exiting his house, he made his way to Katelyn's house via a map app.

"I wonder how Katelyn is doing right now..." He muttered, sighing and shaking his head.

-Katelyn's POV-

I sent a text to (y/n) asking him about what we're doing and he responded with the plans for today. I'll admit I'm a bit nervous since it's been a while that I've hung out with someone other than my closest friends.

I was standing front of my closet, wondering about what outfit to wear. I tried on about four and none of them seem right. I stood with my fingers to my chin, eyeing the blue skirt that was on my bed.

"Maybe this can work..."

An idea came to my mind. Heading into my closet, I found a light blue blouse. This will definitely work!

After putting on the outfit, I did my hair, putting it in a braid. I usually leave my hair down, but...I shook my head. This is just a hang out, not a date! (Y/n) is just being a nice guy! I grabbed my phone and checked if he texted me. Nothing yet. He must be on his way.

"Hey, Katelyn?" Kacey's muffled voice came through my door. I gave him permission to come into my room.

"Yeah?" I sat back down on my bed.

"A-Are you sure dad won't know about this?" He had concern since (y/n) has been over a few times. Dad tried to keep him away from me and (y/n) did keep his distance, only talking to me when dad isn't by me.

"He won't know as long as you don't say anything to him. Just say that I'm hanging out with Aphmau and if dad tries to find out, try to get her in."

"A-All right! Please be careful when you're out with him. I wouldn't want either of you to get hurt."

"Don't worry, we'll be fine. If someone tries to get in between us, they'll know to never do it again." I popped my knuckles and had a menacing look on my face.
