God,

It was finally our day off after six torturing months of constant studying.

I lied on the couch, a drama muted on the TV that I didn't even care about. With eyes droopy, I looked around my living room for the nth time. Still not believing that it's mine.

My sister's frequent visits over the course of the past two weeks had changed the map of my apartment. Literally.

The kitchen which once stank of unwashed dishes was now squeaky clean. My room was no longer a messed up jungle and the laundry was finally taken care of.

I wanted to thank my sister by taking her out for lunch today, but then I remembered how I promised Jimin and minjae that I'll join them for a movie that they were madly excited about.

Luckily I had explained my situation to her and jin, who kindly understood, which I was most grateful for.

So now here I was, trying to get time to move faster by being lazy. I had to meet the two at six in the pm, which got me a pretty long time to chill alone.

Just when my eyes were about to shut I heard the annoying beeping of my phone.

'Hey, wanna hang out today?'

Jungkook had texted me. How'd he get my number though? Well, I still wouldn't be able to spend time with him but then a thought striked me.

'Hey! I actually have to go out with these friends at 6, so is it possible if we meet at like 2 or something?'

A quick glance at the clock told me that even if Jungkook agreed, I would still have about an hour and a half to get ready.

And then another beep echoed.

'Sure. Where'd you wanna go?'

'How about a café?'

'Ok then. We do have a lot of catching up to do.'

Oh yeah, he remembered me from middle school. It was a real surprise how he remembered me though. Me, a loner who must've talked to him just once! Damn I really must be ugly if he remembered me by just one meeting.

With a last text saying okay, I scurried to find a good outfit to wear for the day. And in almost half an hour I was ready.

Even though it wasn't my style at all, I decided to wear the outfit that my mom had gifted me on my birthday. A long sleeved baby pink jumpsuit paired with long earrings and a cute choker. With my hair blow dried and curled, I applied my lip tint lightly. I leaned a bit back to look at my whole being in the mirror one last time before grabbing my handbag and rushing out the door.

I found the café relatively quick, and as I entered through the door, the sudden smell of coffee beans wafting in my nose, I caught a pair of doe eyes looking straight at me. He raised a hand for a quick wave, indicating his bearings.

I trutted my way to his table, before taking a seat.

"Wow, you look really pretty today. Well, not that you never did, but-you get the point."

I laughed at his statement, saying a quick thank you before the waitress came in to note our orders.

"I'll like a caramel macchiato, please." Jungkook replied, smiling gracefully towards the waitress.

"And for the lady?" She asked.

"I'll have what he's having." I returned the smile.

After a couple of minutes since the waitress left, Jungkook asked. "So you're meeting your friends today?"

"Yeah, they sort of dragged me into the plan, even when I clearly said I didn't want to."

"Well, I'm sure they'd be happy to have you around. That must be the reason why they forced you into coming." He smiled cutely.

Damn he's smooth as fuck.

I just chuckled, playing with the ends of my hair. I looked up to see Jungkook intensely gazing at me.

"Jihwan, I have something to tell you." He spoke, suddenly all signs of playfulness out of sight.

I gulped, bobbing my head for him to continue.

"So...we're friends, right? Look, I don't know how to say this but- I think I feel different about you. Something more than a friend."

I guffawed. Not saying a word.

He finally sighed his tenseness away. "I like you, jihwan. I really do."

And that was the moment I knew...

...that my life had taken a hell of a turn.
