Looking up from the intricately carved vase placed before him, Jungkook noticed that Jimin and Jihwan were nowhere in sight.A deep part of his heart hurt, remembering what Taehyung had told him just before he left.
He knew how much Jimin loved Jihwan. It was pretty obvious. But he later openly told this to him, when he had dragged Jungkook out the club room - the day he rudely speaking to Jihwan.
He had made it clear that he was not going to back off, and that he would do anything to get her to be his.
At that time, Jungkook had found this to be quite humorous. But now, he realised why it wasn't.
Because he felt the same way.
But Jimin had clearly won. It wasn't even a question anymore. However, the pain in Jungkook's heart never resided. Only growing worse.
"They're gone." The woman beside him spoke.
"Is that a question or a statement?" He asked, finding a stool nearby to sit on.
"Take it however you like." Minjae spoke, crossing her arms. She kept looking straight ahead, at all the people that crowded at the gaming booth, and let out a laugh. "It's pathetic isn't it? I thought I really had a chance with him."
It took him a few seconds to truly understand what she meant; that she was never his girlfriend. And when he did, all Jungkook could do was stare at her.
She continued. "I would never have had a chance, though. He always loved her and she always loved him. I was just someone who loved the wrong person at the wrong time."
"Well, you can't really control who you fall for." Was all Jungkook said, making Minjae chuckle softly.
"That's true. You know, I feel like that crazy girl who always is the third wheeler in every damn cliché book." She then sighed. "Oh god, my whole life is messed up. So much so that I even had to leave an hour later because my make up was ruined as I cried over him."
And after a pause. "Well, for the record, I like cliché."
And that was the first time she looked him straight in the eye. Beautiful golden looking straight at chocolate brown.
"We should go check out some more stalls." Minjae turned her head to the loud cheering that was heard from the booth next to her, in means to calm her racing heart as well as to hide the crimson shade on her cheeks.
"Sure."
And with that the two strolled around some more before stopping at a one booth in particular.
"Hey, jungkookie. What's up?" Namjoon greeted, expecting to see new customers, only to realise that it was his good friend.
"Hey hyung. We were just here to check out your stall." Jungkook spoke. Minjae stood behind him, staring in awe at the well decorated booth and wondering why it didn't have as many customers as the others.
"Well what're you waiting for. Come in, come in." The older practically dragged the two inside.
"So...girlfriend?" Namjoon whispered in the younger's ear once inside.
"What? No! She's just...someone."
Namjoon went on teasing the younger for a while more, as the girl in the room looked around the booth some more, until somebody called his name.
"Oh Yoongi hyung! You got the stuff?" Namjoon greeted the male with the white mask on.
The male just raised a crate covered in a blue cloth for his reply, confusing jungkook.
