"Hoy fren, anong nangyari sa'yo? Bakit nakabusangot na namumutla pagmumukha mo?" Pag-aalala ni Dani sa kaibigan. Lumapit sya dito at hinawakan sa braso. She lead her to the sofa para umupo. "May sakit ka ba?" She touched the back of her hand on her forehead to check if she's has having a fever but then hindi naman sya mainit "Wala ka namang sakit." She seated next to Devon.

"Wala. Wala akong sakit. I'm just tired." Walang gana nyang sagot sa kaibigan. Tinitigan sya nito na para bang binabasa sya kung nagsasabi ba ng totoo or hindi. Di nya na natiis at nagsalita na sya. "Malapit akong maaksidente kanina buti nalang naka-ilag ako sa motor. Lucky me. So that's all. Ikaw ano bang chika mo? She suddenly changed the topic ayaw nya ng pag-usapan ang nangyari kanina.

"What?! Muntikan ka ng maaksidente? Oh fren, I'm sorry. Is it because of me? Sana hindi..." Hindi na ito nakatapos sa pagsasalita because Devon butt in. "No fren, It was nobody's fault. Kasalanan lang tlaga yun ng kartolina, gusto pa kasing maglakwatsa sa gitna ng kalsada eh!" She said jokingly and they giggled. "Ikaw talaga fren,mag-ingat ka sa susunod ha. Wag nang magbitbit ng madaming  cartolina. " Nag-smile si Devon. Hinawakan nya ang kamay ng kaibigan. "Of course fren! I'll try." She said. "Don't just try, just do it okay?" She then agreed and nodded.

"So...what's the surprise?" She suddenly asked while raising her left kilay. At biglang nagbalik sa realidad ang kaibigan. Muntik pa ata nitong makalimutan ang sinasabing surprise nito. "Ay wait! Kukunin ko lang sa room ko." Dali-dali itong tumayo at pumunta ng kwarto. Hindi pa umabot ng isang minuto ay bumalik agad ito.

Itinago sa likod nito ang surpresa at... "Tsaraaaaan! Ito ang surprise ko sayo." Iniabot nito ang isang purple cloth. Devon accepted it and she unfolded the cloth then she realized it was a purple tube dress. Naguluhan sya. Why is she giving this to her? Tinaasan nya ng kilay si Dani like she was asking what is this for? "Fren, that's my surprise! My gift to you para suotin mo sa lakad natin tomorrow night! Come on, try it" She got the dress and opened the zipper of it. "I'm not going to wear that, it's too short fren. Look, it's just above the knee long and it's errr... tube!" She protested. "Why not? Bagay to sayo and Fren please don't reject this dahil mahal ang bili ko dito." She held her hand para dalhin sa room at itry ang dress pero nagmatigas pa din ito. "Fren,you know i don't wear like that. Babayaran nalang kita." She tried to look disappointed too na hindi nya masusuot ang dress but her friend wasn't convinced. "Anong susuotin mo bukas? Jeans? Ughhh Fren! It's a bar and hindi na to katulad nung college pa tayo na we had to be patweetums. You are matured na. Twenty-one kana. Be open for changes." She seriously said it. She doesn't intend to offend her she was just telling her to be practical.

"I-I-I don't think bagay yan sa akin and I feel naked whenever i wear something like that." She shyly uttered. Her friend smiled. "Hey, hey, hey. Bagay na bagay sa'yo to kaya nga diba itry mo para if not we can choose another one. Just don't be nega fren. OA ha! Naked agad?" Tumawa ito. Wala namang nagawa si Devon at sumunod nalang.

She stared at the mirror. Sya ba talaga to ang nakikita nya sa salamin? The dress perfectly fit her. Hindi madedeny na Devon has perfect curves. She looks very sexy with the purple dress. When she looked down, nawindang sya dahil medyo nakikita ang cleavage pero medyo lang naman dahil hindi naman malaki boobs nya. (Yeah right and who cares! She's contented with it.) And then napansin nya na above the knee talaga ang dress. Hinihila-hila nya ang hem nito. "Sige, hilahin mo pa yan. Tingnan natin kung sino ang makikita ang the naked truth." Sabi ng kaibigan habang tumatawa. Tumigil si Devon sa ginagawa. "Ang ikli naman kasi!" Irita nyang sabi at inayos ang sarili. "If that is how it's meant to be just let it be. Alangan naman fren hanggang ankle mo ang dress, hindi po prayer meeting ang pupuntahan natin." Tumawa ulit ito at nagpatuloy sa pagsasalita. She held her shoulders and faced her to the mirror. "Look! You're very beautiful. Wala kang dapat ikahiya. You only need to learn how to bring and handle yourself fren. You're an undiscovered gem. Ewan ko nalang kung walang guy na maghahabol sa'yo tomorrow night." Devon smiled with what her friend said and the friend continued. "Smile palang o, pamatay na!" She said it with amusement and they giggled together.

"By the way may new band pala sa bar tomorrow and i've heard they're awesome. I know you love to listen to bands so you'll never get boring tomorrow. Rock on!" She said it while doing the rock on sign. Umalis na ito at naiwan si Devon na naka-smile but the smile faded. Now Devon's alone in her room. She thought of him. When she heard the word band, she thought of him. She knows her friend didn't mean it's about him, about the band. It seems that her friend thinks that she already moved on. But the reality is she still haven't. Ikaw ba naman na iwan nalang bigla-bigla ng boyfriemd without any reasons. Agad agad nalang na no communication at all. For Devon, sya lang ang may alam na break na sila for they haven't met and talked for a year. She doesn't know if he's still breathing or not. She doesn't know and whenever she thinks about it she always cry. She's starting to cry. She miss him so much. Everyday she prayed that he would contact her but there wasn't even a single call or txt. She also checks her email but there was none. He left her and she's still haven't moved on.
