He made a quick glance towards you and smiled. When he looked back to Mrs. Gerald she was still in the same position. He sighed and took his phone out of his jacket pocket and gently placed it in the teachers palm.
"Thank you." She said before walking back up to the class.
"You will get this back at the end of the day. I don't want you interrupting your other classes. Am I understood?" She explained.
"But this is the first class." Ethan pleaded.
