Ethan's POV
As my eyes scan this empty, white painted room one last time, I felt a huge wave of relief wash over me. My eyes drop from the walls, and gently land on my bags and suitcases; filled with the things I used, to fill this empty room with.

I nervously lick my lips as I slowly walk back inside; heading towards the window. My feet carried my shaking body to the floor, making me sit dangerously close to the clear glass. I can feel my eyes gloss over as the thought of looking through this window for the last time, has finally come.

Now, I get to look inside the window from outside, rather than out from in. I take a deep breath and smile at the things that kept me sane over the past year and a half.

The swaying tree, beside small stones. The way the small lake would mold into tiny waves. And how the bushes would be rattled by creatures, such as bunnies and squirrels. How the sky would touch the grass at sundown. Everything I see right now, calmed me in my worst times. But now it's time to say goodbye.

My breath hitched as I heard quiet footsteps, trail from the door and stop next to me. The way that person sighed, made my mind aware of who was with me. I peacefully twist my head in her direction and smile. It was y/n.

"Ready?" She asked softly.

"Yeah, just looking out here. One last time." I sighed, knowing that this is the only thing I'll truly miss.

"Take your time. I know how much that meant to you." She grinned.

"How?" I asked.

"My mom." She said before turning on her heels to exit.

"Wait!" I said jolting up from my position.

Her head turned around as my body moved closer to her. My heart was pounding out of my chest when her beautiful y/e/c eyes jumped into mine. I swallowed the air as I began to form a few words.

"Come here." I said, gently pulling her to the window.

We both sat down beside it, and stared at everything it presented to us. The trees, the grass, the sky, the lake; everything. After a few moments of silence, y/n placed her warm, soft, hand on mine and scooted closer.

"This is nice. Now I know why you enjoyed it so much." She said still looking out the window.

"This was my escape." I sighed.

I could see her head turn towards me, from the corner of my eye. My head slowly faced her as she pursed her plump lips. I grinned, knowing that all of my secrets were kept safe with her; though I hardly spoke of any. She nervously tucked a strand of hair behind her ear; smiling at me.

"You're so beautiful." I softly whispered.

I could feel the heat rise from my cheeks after stating that. It had been my first time complimenting her out of all honesty; in fact, it was my first time overall. She blushed and shyly looked away from me, still smiling.

I placed my fingers underneath her chin while gently pulling her face back to me, but a little closer. I know this isn't the perfect time, since I have to be leaving soon, but I want this to happen. I've been wanting it to happen ever since she walked into the room for the first time.
