It had been six months since they had left the orphanage, life was hard, but it was also so much better than the orphanage, with both their money combined they had enough for food each day but, they stayed in the tent at night, the winter had been tough but it was now coming up to summer and the sun was beginning to heat things up. Louis was now eleven and couldn’t wait to start Hogwarts. It was two months until Harry's birthday, but he too shared his eagerness.

The two of them were making their was from Brighton to London, walking thorough the countryside, only walking three or four miles a day, because they knew they had enough time to spare and the scenery was so nice that neither of them wanted to spend more time in the cities. They were following the train lines, knowing that they were always going the right way.

They carried on doing this for weeks, and soon Harry’s birthday was a week away. They were now ten miles away from London, and already the scenery was beginning to change, the fields were becoming built-up villages. It was walking through one of these that they first spotted the cat watching them, both found this cat a little creepy at first but after seeing it for a third time Harry began to get slightly nervous about it.

‘Well, I thought it was odd. It didn’t look like a normal cat should look. I mean i absolutely love cats, can't get enough of them. But that one... did you see the way it was looking at us? It’s stare was almost human.’ Explained Harry

‘Oh dear, you’ve gone crazy, do I need to get you locked up in an insane asylum?’ joked Louis,

‘Well we’ve seen it three times in different places, it’s like it’s following us!’ Harry replied creepily. Winking at Louis. he just laughed at him.

‘Harry, you’re just reading in to this too much!’ he laughed and then walked around the corner with Harry muttering under his breath

‘ I don’t want to be put in an insane asylum, because my good looks would drive people even more insane, they’d be so-’ But he stopped when he bumped into Louis.

‘What the, Lou why did you stop?’ he asked looking at him curiously.

‘Oh my’ he said slowly while Harry looked at him puzzled, Louis' eyes widened. Harry looked where he was looking as Louis said ‘carrots’

‘Holy macaroni, it’s the cat!’ Harry said staring at it as well. The cat was sitting on a low brick wall, staring at them not moving a muscle.

‘Hey Lou, are you as freaked out as I am right now?’ he whispered in his ear

‘I’m confused, why is it following us?’ he asked perplexed. he held on to Harry’s arm and he gave he a sideways look. They were having a staring match with the cat for about five minutes before the cat finally moved. It stood up and jumped onto the ground. It closed its eyes in what looked like concentration.

And a second later the cat seemed to be growing before their eyes, both of them opened their mouths, as the cat transformed into an old looking woman with a stern face, her hair tied back in a bun, and green velvety robes on. Both Louis and Harry closed their mouths at the same time.

‘You’re a witch?’ Louis statement sounded a lot like a question.

‘Indeed I am, I have also come to give you these’ she pulled out two envelopes from a pocket in her robes. And handed them to the two children who took them while smiling. They looked at each other before opening the envelope sealed with the Hogwarts crest.

‘Welcome to Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry, I am Professor McGonagall deputy headmistress and head of Gryffindor house, it was extremely difficult to find you both. I expect you both would like to join?’

‘Of course!’ said Harry excitedly grinning madly, while Louis broke into a smile and nodded.

‘We’ll I have been informed to take you to Dumbledore, as he needs to talk to you Mr Tomlinson and you to Mr Styles, about inheritance’ The two exchanged glances and gave each other a puzzled look before smiling back at the professor.

‘If you would both come stand either side of me and take hold of my arms, I warn you, this won’t be a pleasant experience.’ They both nodded and walked over to her taking a hold of her arm. Professor McGonagall looked around checking that no one was around or watching, she turned slightly and then Louis held his breath as he felt he was being pushed through a tube, as suddenly as It had come the feeling had gone,

Harry and Louis swayed slightly before looking up and taking the appearance of the street they were now in, Louis scrunched up his nose. They were standing out side a dark shabby pub, he could smell damp from his position. It reminded him a lot of the orphanage. It was called the leaky cauldron.
