‘Lou wake up, We have an hour to get ready before breakfast’  Niall said Jumping on Louis bed, causing him to jump in shock and rub his eyes weakly

‘Ok, thanks Niall’ he yawned as Niall got off his bed laughing.

Louis got up and got ready, putting on his uniform and his new red and gold striped tie, he grabbed a bag and put his books quills and ink in it he left his cloak, not feeling the need to use it, and went down the stairs into the common room with Niall to begin the first day of classes together.

Louis walked into the great hall an looked around again, smiling at its vast size, and that’s when he noticed the ceiling, it looked just like they were outside, his eyes widened as Niall dragged him to a space on the table, Louis grabbed a piece of toast and began to eat.

Professor McGonagall handed him and Niall a schedule for classes, they thanked her and walked out of the hustle of the packed great hall, sitting on the steps outside the front door, they looked down at their schedules.

‘We have History of magic with the Ravenclaws!’ Louis said jumping up and down happily, they then made their way into the castle and off to their first lesson, which was easier said than done, they had gotten lost and spent ages trying to find each of their classes. Classes were quite easy for Louis, that day while they were told what to expect from classes, by the end of the day however they where all knackered. Niall and Louis walked down to the great hall, only getting lost once, Louis spotted Harry sitting with another boy.

‘Hey, Niall mind if I sit with Harry, you’re welcomed to join?’ Niall looked over at the Ravenclaw table

‘No I had better sit at our house table, I don’t want to get into trouble’ he said frowning slightly as Louis shrugged and walked over too Harry. He slipped into the seat next to him, harry turned around to see who had sat next to him and then engulfed him in a hug, he laughed and hugged him back,

‘hey, smelly how were your classes?’ he asked Louis playfully,

‘pretty dull, yours?’ Louis asked picking up some food an putting it on his plate

‘same, hey, this is Zayn, Zayn this is Louis’

‘Hey’ he said looking around Harry and smiling.

‘Hey’ Louis replied, Harry grinned and poked Louis

‘What?’ he asked

‘You pull funny faces’ Harry smiled

‘I wasn’t pulling a face!’ Louis protested

‘How unfortunate for you then’ Harry smiled as Zayn laughed

‘Just don’t listen to him, he is as crazy as that whomping willow’ Louis said laughing

‘What’s that?’ Zayn asked puzzled

‘The big tree in the grounds, don’t go near it!’ Harry said smiling ‘Oh and why did the hat take so long?’

‘I was the hardest it has ever had too choose apparently, I was a gryffindor because of my courage and determination and stuff, but it was going to put me in Ravenclaw at first and then it changed its mind’ he said sadly eating some food. He took a look around the hall as Harry and Zayn talked abit about quiddich, Louis rested his chin on his hand and looked up at the ceiling. She watched as it slowly became darker, until he saw some stars appear, Harry was deep in conversation with Zayn and Louis was feeling a little left out.

he frowned slightly and said good night to Harry and Zayn leaving them to their conversation before the long task of finding the portrait hole ensued he was walking up the stairs and into the last corridor when she felt someone watching him, he shuddered and turned around,

‘Hey’ Said a boy walking over to him. It was weird because Louis could see right through him

‘Hi’ He said

‘I’ve seen it happen before, it happened to me’ He said

‘Sorry?’ Louis asked

‘People come as friends and are separate. They end up going their own ways’ He said

‘No, that won’t happen with us’ Louis shook his head

‘That’s what I said’ the ghost said disappearing into the wall, Louis frowned an turned around. That wouldn’t happen. But how wrong he was.

He started noticing a difference about a month later. Harry wouldn’t sit by him every History of magic lesson, he’d alternate between Zayn and himself. It bothered Louis because it was the only lesson they shared.

‘Harry, aren’t you sitting next to me?’ Louis asked looking up at his friend. Harry bit his lip.

‘ Promised Zayn I’d sit by him, Sorry’ Harry said giving Louis a weak smile

‘But this is the only lesson you have with me’ Louis frowned ‘You have every lesson with him’

‘Sorry, but I I promise’ Harry said walking off to sit by Zayn. The two of them began laughing at omething Zayn said as Louis dropped his head on the table. Harrys space was filled with Niall.

‘it’s okay, Lou. I’ll be here when he isn’t’ He said patting Louis on the back softly.

Harry stopped coming to the Gryffindor table soon after that, and as the year continued they grew steadily apart, however much Louis tried to save their friendship.

The classes were interesting with transfiguration being his favourite subject so far. He had been quite good at it too. Charms was a fun subject, Potions however was an awful subject, Louis sat right at the back, not caring if he was sitting near the slytherins, he did not like Snape one bit, and the feeling seemed mutual. He was good at brewing the potions just not at listening to Snape,

The year was coming to an end, and even when the huge snake petrified Louis, Harry didn’t come and see him.

‘Colin Why are you going out at night?’ Louis asked from the bed

‘Get some pictures’ He grinned

‘Can I come?’ Louis asked smiling cheekily

‘Of course’ He nodded and the two made their way down from the dormitory and into the common room, crawling behind the couch and out of the portrait hole.

They walked together through the halls and Louis saw Harry hanging out with his ravenclaw friends, them too out after curfew. Harry caught his eye but looked away. Louis frowned and walked past with Colin.

‘What was that?’ Louis asked after a minute, something catching his attention

‘What was what?’ Colin asked looking around

‘I heard something’ Louis said looking around as they walked around the corner

‘Good, I’m looking to get a picture’ Colin said bringing the camera up to his eyes

‘Of what?’ Louis asked

‘That!’ Colin said as a shadow appeared on the wall, Louis screamed and spun around grabbing Colin but Colin went stiff under him and fell on the floor, Louis screamed again as he heard running footsteps and loud voices. He felt something behind him, he looked up and saw big red eyes in the window in front of him. Then blackness engulfed him.

By the time the end of the year came, Louis was actually nervous of the summer. Wondering what would happen? Would Harry suddenly become friendly with him again, because he was the only one there to talk to? Louis felt used, like Harry had used him because he had no one else. Niall had become his best friend. However he knew no one could replace Harry. Not truly.

The day Louis returned to Hogsmead Harry wasn’t there. He’ gone to stay at friends houses. Leaving Louis alone for the holidays. And that’s how it continued for three years, if it wasn’t for Niall, Louis would have felt alone and abandoned. The story of his life, he thought.

awhhh Sorry its all sad... hope you like it
