Chapter 13: Showdown

11:00 A.M.
Saturday Morning
Lockwood Park

  Beats opened the gate to the public park where citizens could be seen running, feeding birds and other activities. No mist, what is that bastard planning? Suddenly the same misty fog from the night to long ago appeared, flooding the park. Beats took off his vest while instructing, "Coz, I'm about to kick your ass. Where is Cosette?!"

  Coz could be heard snickering somewhere in the mist, "Oh you mean your fairy friend? Why, she's right here." Coz appeared not to far away from Beats holding Cosette in his huge demonic hand. Beats gasped, "Cosette! What did that bastard do to you?!" Cosette exclaimed, "He's been weird ever since he kidnapped me! He's a perverted demon who kept lifting my dress and complimenting me sexually!" Beats sighed a breath of relief, "Oh thank goodness, I thought he did something important."

Cosette yelled, "My dignity is important!" Beats laughed, "Eh, that's debatable." Coz tosses Cosette into the mist while screeching, "Enough talk, it's time to kill!" Coz ran towards Beats, swinging his finger claws causing Beats to jump back. Beats put on his headphones causing electricity to crackle around his legs making Coz chuckle, "Ah yes, let's get serious!"

Coz clawed the air sending fire waves of demonic flames towards Beats who leaped into the air. Beats came down with an accelerated kick that Coz blocked, pushing him back several feet. Beats twirled backwards but when he landed he bursted foward punching Coz in his gut. Cuz coughed up blood only to be uppercutted by Beats who yelled, "Last night, I firgued out a way to beat you!" Beats roundhouse kicked Coz in his jaw, making him fly into a tree. Coz dived out of the way of Beats' electric blade which cleanly cut the tree in half.

Beats explained, "I realized that when we first met you mentioned something about relying on blood for survival. So the more blood you lose, the weaker you become. So in other words. . ." Beats' right arm began crackling with yellow electricity making Coz take a step back in fear. Beats laughed, "The more I beat you to a pulp, the easier it'll get." Coz grunted, "Ungh, I wont let you get the chance! DIEEE!" Coz roared emitting a red blast straight for Beats who smirked as he threw a punch, colliding with the blast. Beats was being pushed back steadily, his dress clothes were being torn apart. Damn, he's strong! Beats started to scream causing his static fist to begin overpowering the blast surprising Coz. Beats spun off the beam starting to run towards Coz who gasped, "S-stay back!"

Coz palmed the air summoning demons that went after Beats who scolded, "Hell no! You've been on my last nerve lately, fight me yourself you coward!" Beats punched the ground shocking all the demons standing on it, even Coz. Beats leaped up into the air, forming his electric blade in his hand while Coz was stunned. TAKE THIS, YOU BASTARD! Beats screamed as he came down slashing Coz's arm off. Blood sprayed from Coz's shoulder making him fall to his knees. Coz was holding his shoulder in agony while Beats lectured, "I gotta say, thanks. After the beating you gave me, I got a lot stronger. Now die!" Coz panicked, "NOOOOOO-!" Coz's plead for life was cut short when Beats swiftly sliced his head clean off. Coz's dead body collapsed onto the grass as his head rolled away.

Voices could be heard in the mist panicking, "Coz is dead?! Let's scram before we're next!" The mist slowly disappeared revealing Beats to be in an alleyway. Beats sighed, "Finally, I can get some closure. Hmm, gotta clean his body up. Oh I know!"

Beats threw Coz's dead body into a dumpster before cleaning his hands on his pants. Suddenly Cosette appeared from a trash can while gasping, "Is he gone? That creep?" Beats chuckled, "Yea he's gone. You act like he did something to you." Cosette exclaimed with her face red from blushing, "He did! H-he said my butt w-was big!" Beats laughed, "Really? I said the same thing remember hehe." Cosette pouted, "You're both pervs! You pervert!" Beats was laughing as he began to think to himself. Life is finally back to the way it should be. I wonder how long this is going to last.
