“No! That I like you!” she yelled.

“But of course you are too hung up on Maria to even think about me. When you do think about me all you want to do is play with me! Are you sure you didn’t grow up with normal teenage boys because you sure act like one! You give me these looks like you care, and you flirt and you-” I grabbed her face and pressed my lips against hers. She wrapped her arms around my neck, and we continued to kiss until we were both out of breath and our lips were numb.

I wrapped my arms around her, and pulled her close to me our foreheads against one another’s, staring into each other’s eyes.

“I think about you all the time” I whisper.

“I think you are the most beautiful girl I have ever laid eyes on, since the moment I saw you, when you gave me an attitude in the diner” I smile.

“Actually you were giving me an attitude” she laughs gently, before tilting her head up a little more, her lips an inch from mine. She is hesitant, like she is waiting to see if the first kiss was not just a one time thing. It wasn’t as intense as the last one, simpler but all the sensations were still there. We parted from each other.

“Does this mean we’re together now?” she asks. “I hope so” I can’t help but to smile.

“Are you positive you want to get into this though? It could be dangerous, you don’t have to come to Paris with us I can give you money and you can go somewhere for now, you don’t have to stay” I said. I couldn’t be selfish with Grace. Now matter how much I would love for her to stay, this is all in the best interest of her. I can’t let my personal feelings affect her safety.

“I’m staying Cody” she says grabbing my face and pecking me.

“I’m all in, and I have been since the moment I drove the getaway car” she laughed.

“Alright” I smile giving her a quick peck and intertwining our fingers before stepping out of my bedroom in the hotel room.

“Look who’s up” Maria said her back facing us.

“Yep” I laugh.

“Heard you went a little crazy after I passed out” she said turning around from reading something. Her eyes instantly went to our conjoined hands and stayed there for a second before she met our gaze. There was something about the way she looked at me, but I couldn’t define it.

“So where’s Matt?” Grace asked. I guess that was fish boy’s name.

“He’s in his room” she said turning back to reading.

“I want to go talk to him” I say to Grace, facing her.
