Chapter 5

I woke up and found myself in a dark room strapped to metal chair.

“Good Morning Cody” Tori said to me.

“Where’s Grace?” I asked trying to break free of my entrapment.

“Where she can’t use those little karate skills of hers.” Tori said.

“If you touch her I swear I will kill you!” I screamed at her.

“Awh does Cody have a little crush?” she said in a mocking tone.

“Well good luck with that because we have reinforcement, human government agents, and others like us here” she said.

“Where is here?” I asked. “New York, but don’t get too comfortable, we are heading to Paris tomorrow” she said.

“Paris?” I questioned, memories of my parents flashed through my brain.

“Ah, so your parents at least told you enough to know that is where it all started I am guessing” she said.

“Don’t talk about my parents” I said anger fueling me.

“I will say whatever I want” she smiled. I fussed around more but realized there was no way to escape these restraints, with just my human skills.

“So how are there others like me” I said relaxing sitting back.

“You mean us... well Cody your parents weren’t the only ones involved in the project in Paris” she said sitting down in the chair across from me.

“I know that but I thought...” I began.

“You thought your parents were the only ones who had kids? Wow Cody that is very naive of you” she said. I rolled my eyes.

“So what next, you kill me” I said.

“What are you talking about? We need you Cody” she said. I was about to speak.

“Before you say anything, I am aware that you have a lot of questions, but it is not my place to answer all of them for you, so you are just going to have to wait until we get back to Paris” she said. I sat there. I did want answers, so many questions were rushing through my head. But I couldn’t let them take me to Paris so I had to decide.

“I bet you are trying to think of a way to escape this, but you see that metal case over both of your hands, it’s titanium. So no matter how hard you try to explode it you won’t succeed.” she said.
