Alexis' pov:

When I could move again so much sadness and hurt landed on my crushed but healing heart, I knew Bea.... Or Sara, had died from the fall to the water and I was tried from her gift.

I couldn't even hate her, I could never, despite the look she had in her eyes I could see deep that she regretted all this and she just wished to be with Quinn.... This is all because of Cain again!!!

"And so the future arrived." Max muttered silently with tears rolling down her face, looking at the kids all looked so broken.

"Max, Quinn?" I asked her, the future of Quinn arrived so she could now speak.

"She is alive, Sara used her body to cushion the shock with the water, ending her own life."

"Seems a fall of the cliff would most likely kill someone like me too." I whispered, a lifelong question answered but not in the way anyone would have wanted.

"You monster!! Because of you!! Because of you we lost Bea!!" Jeffy hit Cain but I stopped him from doing it again.

"Cain." I pushed him down on his back with my foot on his chest and wiped the tears away before glaring at him. "You hurt not only me but everyone I cared about, you made me suffer and my family, I should make you suffer what you did to us for twenty-five years, but a human lifetime wouldn't be enough to make you feel half of what you caused. I want to torture you for fucking up my daughter's future.... But I won't, I won't get down to your level. After your death no more pure breed blood wolf will ever be born again and if you dare to come back at a Deathless Spirit I will kill you as many times it takes for your Spirit to be torn apart forever so goodbye forever Cain." He yelled in anger but I ripped off his head, throwing it in the burning pile of corpses.

Soon the word about Cain finally dying spread, the enemy was fast gone when their leader had died.

I was worried as I didn't see Quinn by the fall of the night but I knew she was fine and had an idea where I could find her despite what had happened and went to find her.

Sitting there, silently on the edge of the cliff her legs dangling over the edge as she looked down at her hands, holding a necklace I've never seen in her hands, staring down at it with tears cascading down her face.

I sat next to her and after a few minutes she leaned against me.

"I-I bought her t-this." I said nothing as I listened to her, I don't think I'd have been able to say anything anyway, my throat was tight and dry, I knew how it felt like to lose your mate, I just was lucky enough to have mine alive. "S-she loved it.... P-promising me to always w-wear it." She said, sobbing and tightly holding it to her chest and I hugged her and put her head against my neck as I let her cry as I looked off toward the horizon, tears of my own silently sliding down my face as I hugged her tightly against me, only her cries brought sound in the silent night.
