no longer Prom part 2- Jonah

"Mom he's coming back to Minnesota for a weekend with his band mates. I don't know what to do!" I say sitting on the other side of the couch.

"Well what do you want to do? Do you wanna see him?" She asks pausing her show.

"I don't think he wants to see me after what happened he's probably forgotten about me," I mumble feeling sad all over again.

Its been eleven months of not talking to Jonah or anyone in his family. Almost a full year since then. He ended up still going with Becca to Prom but ended up leaving half way through. Becca complained at school the next day.

A week after we all graduated and got out of school. Jonah moved to California leaving Minnesota his home behind. Now he was on his second tour and coming home.

You only knew this from being caught up on his instagram. Seeing that story of him on the airplane made your breath hitch. The words saying Home here I come made you smile. He was almost here only a few more hours.

"I think you should go see him," mom says going back to her show.

It was now time. You where already stepping out of the car and up the oh so familiar porch steps. Standing in front of the door you think. Should I just leave or do it. Do you really wanna see him? Yes! The answer was always yes.

You lift your hand knocking three times. It was too late no backing out now. You had to face him. You could hear people talking on the other side before fumbling with the locks. The door swings open to reveal another brown head boy. It was either Daniel or Zach but you weren't sure.

"I-is Jonah here?" I ask straining to look behind him.

"Sorry but please dont show up at our houses. And dont tell anyone we are here," The blue eyed boy says about to shut the door.

"Stop im actually just looking for Jonah I need to talk to him," I say giving a small smile.

Svea comes to the door asking who it is and she gives a small squeel before pulling me into a hug. I hug back and she pulls me into the house.

"He's in his room with Corbyn come on," she jumps before running up the stairs almost tripping.

Knocking on Jonahs door he yells "come in Svea". She pushes open the door and there he is. My breath hitches as I see him. He hasnt looked yet but the blonde boy im assuming is Corbyn is watching.

Its like everything is in slow motion. Jonah slowly turns around our eyes meeting.

"Jonah," I whisper walking up to him and wrapping my arms around his waist in hug. Him holding back.

"Im so sorry.. I missed you so much," I say squeezing him tighter.

I pull away and he smiles. God I missed him more than I thought I would. Glancing around his room its the exact same. But what cought my eye was a photo of us on his desk.

"What are you doing here? I thought you didn't wanna see me?" He says his smile fading before he sits on his bed next to Corbyn.

"You know I didn't mean it like that Jo! It was just what came out.. in reality I needed you the most and I lost you! When you left it broke me," I say sitting next to the two boys also.

"No you broke me. I wanted you to stay yet you left," he says laying back. Corbyn just looks at us weirdly not knowing whats happening.

"You told me to go," you argue with him before letting out a giggle. "But boy did I miss you It was one of the hardest things to do!"

Without any warning you place your lips on his and he holds your cheeks kissing back. But now its his turn to push away.

"Y/n I have a girlfriend now," he says.

"Oh im sorry," you say trying to hide the fact that you are upset and sad that he found someone when you have been waiting.

"Im kidding god you should have seen your face," he giggles pushing you back a little making you smile.

"Eww get a room," Corbyn says jokingly.

"You are in my room," Jonah says biting his lip. Corby rolls his eyes getting up and going downstairs.
