Isadora
We followed everyone into the parlor.
Mrs. Baudelaire began the long conversation that was to follow by saying, "Children, this is going to be a lot to process, so we thought maybe before and after the explanation you all can play a game together, like truth or dare, so you can see that the world is not different. It's like being in a room filled with torture devices and turning on the light. The horrible devices were not brought into existence by you turning on the light, you have just been made aware of them. You are better off knowing they are there than living in the dark."
Everyone nodded. The parents left, saying they would return in 20 minutes, and I turned to Klaus and said, "Truth or dare?"
He looked nervous. "Um... truth?"
Quigley chuckled huskily (causing Vi to blush furiously) as a Cheshire grin spread across my face.
"Clearly, you have never played this game with my sister," Duncan laughed at Klaus's expense. "She has a way of finding out the dirty truth about everything."
I shushed them both, then said, "Who in this room do you most want to see in a bikini?"
Without missing a beat, he said, "You."
I blushed and both of my brothers balled their fists. Vi made a little aw sound, then took both of Quigley's hands in hers so he would calm down.
Klaus turned to Quigley and said, "Quig, truth or dare?"
Quigley said, with a devilishly handsome smirk on his face, "Truth."
Klaus grinned evilly, and said, "What is your weirdest erogenous zone?"
Quigley blushed crimson and whispered, "My collarbone."
Vi's head had been buried in the nape of his neck for a while, but now she moved to lightly trace a path of small kisses down his collarbone. His back arched slightly.
"Du-Duncan, truth or d-dare?"
"Dare."
"Ohhhh," I said, "Our first dare!"
Vi stopped her kissing for a moment to actually let Quigley seriously consider his options. Finally, he came to a conclusion.
"I dare you to strip down to your boxers and stay that way for the rest of the game."
Blushing the color of redcurrants, he pulled off his shirt and jeans, throwing them at Vi, who discarded them onto the floor.
Wanting to make this even harder on my brother because I'm a great sister like that, I wolf whistled, loud and long, and Vi joined me. Sunny couldn't whistle, but she clapped as hard as she could.
Duncan kicked me in the shin, hit Vi on the arm, and gave Sunny a teasing noogie.
We all gasped falsely, being very sarcastic. Then we shared a collective smirk and all pounced on him at once. He shrieked. Being females, and having female fighting senses, we tugged his hair playfully and lightly pummeled his chest, raining down soft blows.
After we all got off of him, I shouted, "DUNCAN! IT'S YOUR TURN!"
Duncan sighed and said, "Quigley, truth or dare?"
Quigley snorted and said, "After what happened to you? Truth again, please."
Duncan smirked evilly, and said, "What's your biggest pet peeve?"
He was deep in thought for a moment, then answered carefully, "Hypocrites. They just rub me the wrong way."
I giggled and said, "Vi probably wishes she could have one night to yourselves so she could rub you the right way, wink wink."
Everyone laughed except Klaus, Vi and Quigley turned pink with embarrassment, and Klaus turned purple with rage. I set my hand on his arm to calm him.
Quigley, laughing slightly, said, "Vi, truth or dare?"
"Dare, boi!!!"
He contemplated this for a moment, knowing that this was probably gonna be his only shot for a while to make her do whatever he wanted.
"I dare you to sing any song that you know all the lyrics to." He finally decided.
"Will you sing it with me? It's a duet song. Do you know rewrite the stars?"
He smiled and nodded.
You know I want you
It's not a secret I try to hide
I know you want me
So don't keep saying our hands are tied
You claim it's not in the cards
Fate is pulling you miles away
And out of reach from me
But you're here in my heart
So who can stop me if I decide
That you're my destiny?
What if we rewrite the stars?
Say you were made to be mine
Nothing could keep us apart
You'd be the one I was meant to find
It's up to you, and it's up to me
No one can say what we get to be
So why don't we rewrite the stars?
Maybe the world could be ours
Tonight
You think it's easy
You think I don't want to run to you
But there are mountains
And there are doors that we can't walk through
I know you're wondering why
Because we're able to be
Just you and me
Within these walls
But when we go outside
You're going to wake up and see that it was hopeless after all
No one can rewrite the stars
How can you say you'll be mine?
Everything keeps us apart
And I'm not the one you were meant to find
It's not up to you
It's not up to me
When everyone tells us what we can be
How can we rewrite the stars?
Say that the world can be ours
Tonight
All I want is to fly with you
All I want is to fall with you
So just give me all of you
It feels impossible (it's not impossible)
Is it impossible?
Say that it's possible
How do we rewrite the stars?
Say you were made to be mine?
Nothing can keep us apart
'Cause you are the one I was meant to find
It's up to you
And it's up to me
No one can say what we get to be
And why don't we rewrite the stars?
Changing the world to be ours
You know I want you
It's not a secret I try to hide
But I can't have you
We're bound to break and my hands are tied ( credit to the people who wrote it )She finished, expelling out a breath of air. Quigley smiled at her beautiful singing voice, and she leaned over and kissed him. Klaus made a barfing noise.
"Can I have you?" Violet asked Quigley, ignoring Klaus.
"You can have any part of me, any time you want. You can have all of me, forever." He told her.
She smirked, then leaned close and whispered something in his ear. He turned red. He nodded, and she trailed more kisses down his collarbone.
He giggled as she said, "Izzie, truth or dare?"
I answered without skipping a beat, "Dare."
She smirked, and I regretted picking dare. After a moment of consideration, she decided, saying, "I dare you to put on a blindfold and have all of us go to the other side of the room. Then walk over to us and kiss the first person you touch, while keeping the blindfold on, and guess who it is."
I laughed at this ridiculous request and sent Klaus to get a sufficient blindfold. When he returned and draped it over my eyes, I began stumbling towards the people. My hand quickly came into contact with someone. Not wanting to stall, I pulled them towards myself.
When their lips touched mine, I felt on fire, but I quickly pulled away, not wanting to get caught up in the moment.
"Hey, Klaus," I said. The way his lips made me feel, there was no doubt it was Klaus. I reached behind my head and removed the blindfold.
When I took off the blindfold, Klaus was still just inches away from me. I saw everyone else a good ways behind him, pressed against the walls, clearly wanting me to end up kissing him. I giggled, causing Klaus to moan and step just a little closer to me. I longed to bring my lips to his once again, but I didn't even know if he liked me.
I stepped away reluctantly and resumed my position on the couch. Everyone else joined me and the game continued.
