"...I remember her once singing to me the lullaby’s my mother should have when she was out. My sister, she was wonderful, we shared many memories..." I had lost all my self-control and tears ran down my pale and fragile face at a rapid pace. "Her death is inexplicable...no one deserved to die like that." I managed to swallow back my sobs for this last sentence "I loved her...she was my best friend…sister..." And then I completely lost it. The sobs came and my little 5 year old brother, William, came and hugged my leg. I picked him up carfeully and walked off the podium.

My mother took William off me silently without a single word. I had managed to stop sobbing but the tears were still coming. I decided to run outside across to the forest right next to the funeral service.

I tripped and fell onto the soft grass ground. I curled up into a ball and stopped holding everything in. I couldn't believe Rosalie was murdered.

I sat there with my face buried in my hands weeping over the loss of an extraordinary sibling. The thing was; just 2 weeks before my ex-boyfriend was murdered the exact same way. He was found with a bloody jagged star on his wrist like my sister.

'Calm down Mia', I told myself.

I managed to slowly stand up and look behind me, to the clearing where I had run through. Except instead of finding the clearing I saw a man’s face staring at me. He took a step closer to me and I could see his Star tattoos covering almost every inch of his body. They looked identical to the one that had been cut onto my sister’s wrist. Part of me tried to run but my feet were stuck in place. He took strides calmly over to the place where I was standing plastered to the soft grass. I looked into his deep blue eyes and suddenly relaxed even though my brain was telling me to run. I didn't even notice him drawing his dagger out of his pocket.

He fixed his eyes on mine yet managing to draw blood in the shape of a jagged star. I forced my eyes away from his as I winced in pain. I looked at the red star on my arm. It was becoming more painful and I knew what was going to happen next. Just why did he have to torture me.

He drew back his dagger and lined it up with my heart. I shed my last tears and thought deeply of my poor parents as they had now lost both daughters. I thought of my brother, William, he wouldn't understand any of this. I loved them all. And as the man drew his dagger back further I swallowed my last breath.

The dagger pierced my skin and the warm blood gushed down my chest and body. Then all went black as the tip hit my heart...
