Dimitri's P.O.V:

"NOOOOO!!" I yelled as she plunged my dagger through her heart.

Thoughts of the fact that I was the one that caused all this overwhelmed me and then Zara came in.

"What happen-oh shit!" She said and then ran to my side. She placed a warm hand on my shoulder as I knelt on the floor already in grief.

No.

I wouldn't allow Rosalie to die because of what I've caused her. She can't leave me. There are still people that care about her.

I looked at Zara hard. Glaring and gritted my teeth. If it weren't for her turning up on my doorstep I probably wouldn't have gone that far to distract myself.

"Dimitri?" She said quietly as if to ask me to stop. The hell I would stop after all that’s happened. Her eyes started to contain worry, worry for me I soon realised.

I got up still staring rock hard into Zara's eyes and then let her gaze go. I walked slowly and painfully over to Rosalie's bloody and cold body.

What have I done?

Tears started streaming down my face as I took Rosalie’s hand in mine. I didn't care that it was soaked in her blood. I just wanted her back, but there was no way. Unless I wanted to turn myself in. I couldn't afford that at the moment no matter how much I wanted Rosalie alive.

Leaning over her body I kissed her forehead and just stayed there like that for what seemed like a long time. Only then did I notice my body trembling.

I wouldn't be able to live with myself knowing that I have indirectly killed the one person I truly loved more than the sun needs light.

"This is the girl you managed to love and hurt so dearly, isn't it?" Zara asked quietly from the doorway still.

I just let out a whimpering sound that was meant to be a "mmhmm".

"I'm so sorry about all this then Dimitri; I was probably a big part in all of this." She said and I turned my head towards her not only noticing that her eyes were lingering towards the ground but they were filled with tears too.

"I'm sorry too." I said and walked towards Zara, lightly patted her on the shoulder trying to hold myself in from crying, but it was too hard. I loved Rosalie too much, now she was gone. I fell to the ground crying and sobbing, every so often allowing whimpers to pass through my throat. "She can't die" I told Zara shaking my head still clutching my knees in close to my chest and tucking my head into my knees as if I were a ball. Zara bent down to sit next to me. She placed her arm around my shoulders and then told me, "Then she will not die."

"It's too late Zara. She's gone, all because of my stupid self. I killed her Zara. It was all me." I said locking my wet eyes with hers.

"I-I can't think of anything to say. You really loved her didn't you?" She said calmly.

"I did and still do, I will never stop loving her. Even when I'm gone too I will still love her. But that doesn't matter anymore Zara, I need her here. She was the one stopping me from becoming a full out monster like I was when I was younger. I remember being so mad at my father I killed every single person that could ever love or like him. I kept his enemies as close friends..."

"Dimitri..." Zara said trying to stop me from crying harder just by talking about this.

"No. Zara, I need her now. I can't let her fall into death. I know she's already dead but i need to get her back. I did it before. I can do it again. I will do it again." I said and started standing up.
