The Day Before: Why is She So Upset Before Her Birthday?

The Go Jetters have only just returned from an unsuccessful mission from the Great Pacific Garbage Patch. They were all really upset about what happened, mostly Xuli. Why?

She failed.

She was in tears around the time they got back to the Academy. She shut herself in her room and started crying. Kyan, Lars, and Foz were upset too, but didn't cry.

"Hi, guys." Said Chelsea. 

"Hey, Chelsea," Said Kyan, looking a bit down. Lars and Foz were too. Xuli was nowhere to be seen.

"You okay?" She asked, just as Tim, Lily, Jack, and Audrey appeared. 

"It's just that..." Said Lars, "We failed in clearing up the Great Pacific Garbage Patch."

"We didn't fix that glitch." Said Foz.

"It's okay, Go Jetters," Said Chelsea, "Many Go Jetters tried and failed. It's okay, the mission failing ain't your fault. But...where's Xuli?"

"She's in her room, crying her head off. She won't talk to anyone." Said Ubercorn.

"Oh, dear," Said Cheslea, "Someone's got to go cheer her up."

"But, she won't let anyone in her room." Said Ubercorn.

"That's terrible!" Said Kim, who was passing with Alex.

"True..." Said Ubercorn.
