The Big Day: Decoration Preparation

Kim's POV:

Terry and I were assigned to make the party decorations for the party. But making the electric decorations was hard.

First we had to wire the metallic part of the wires together, and make place for the link the lightbulbs together. Then cover it up with a plastic insulator without getting shocked. Then we had to place the bulbs in and paint them purple and yellow.

The normal decorations were way easier. All we had to do was cut strands of purple and gold paper, cut them into different shapes. 

While making the electric decorations, I swear we nearly got caught by the birthday girl.

Xuli was walking, by some coincidence, around there place we were working in. She looked inside. 

"Kim? Terry?" She said, making us jump. 

"X-Xuli! W-what are you doing here?" Asked Terry. 

"I was just wandering about when I heard you. What are you doing here?"

We remembered Bailey's words:

-"But all the same you all should make up excuses to keep her off."

"Umm... Trevor told us to practice how to deal with electric devices." I said, "these electrics are great practice for us." 

"Oh. O-okay. I guess I'm gonna...Get back to my room, then..." Was all she mumbled before walking away. 

"Poor Xuli!" I whispered after she went away.

"I guess we should've done something to cheer her up," said Terry.

I looked out. I saw Xuli, crying her way out.

"She's crying," I whispered.

Right before I accidentally zapped myself.

"Ouch!" I yelled; it really hurt.

"Hey, guys."

"Bailey!"

She stood there, clipboard in hand, writing things down.

"Everything okay? I heard someone yelling."

"I got zapped." I said, showing her the wound.

"Nah, just a little scratch. An ice pack would do the trick".

She put an ice pack on my zapped hand. It soon felt much better.

"Thanks," I Said.

"Don't mention it," she replied.

"I saw Xuli crying," she said.

"Yeah," Terry replied.

"She began crying after she walked away from us." I said.

"She sounds like she needs to be cheered up." Said Terry.

"I'll go talk to her. Keep up the good work, guys." Said Bailey, right before she walked off.

"Decorations complete." I heard her whisper to herself, then we heard, "Xuli! Wait up!"

I really hope this doesn't effect you too much, Xuli, I thought.
