A few weeks later. September 9, 1979. 4:30a.m.
Chelseas POV
Its been a few weeks since all the drama and the big changes in my life started. Playing for Herb has been really intense and our training schedule was crazy busy, but I'm enjoying it. I've changed a lot as a hockey player and even as a person and I can thank my new friends for that.
Today the team and I were going to Norway to start off our training in Europe. We're going to be playing in Norway, Finland and Holland which is going to be a really fun experience. Hockey in Europe is really good and their teams are always so strong. I was really looking forward to playing against these teams and to do some site seeing because this is going to be my first time in Europe. But I was nervous about one thing.
Flying.
I've never been on a plane before and I was nervous as hell. After watching that Tom Cruise movie with those fighter planes...I've always been scared of the idea of flying. Like if the plane were to suddenly break down, its only option was to crash..whereas a car, you can pull off to the side of the road and stay safe.
I was trying not to think to much about this and I didn't want the guys to know I was scared of flying. I'd never hear the end of them teasing me. Especially from Rizzo and Ralph.
Although, Jack knows about my fear of flying and he doesn't seem bothered by it. He thinks its funny and likes to make jokes about it, but he's not mean about it. I've grown a lot closer with Jack now and have been really happy. The happiest I've been in months.
We aren't dating yet...but we are sorta a thing, just not official yet. Like everyone on the team knows that Jack and I have feelings for each other and they probably already think that we're dating..even though we technically aren't.
Like I still haven't got that first date yet!
And as of Mac and I's relationship well, he apologized and I forgave him and we're getting to be good friends again. Herb actually made Mac and I official wing partners with Johnson as our centre men.
I love playing with Mac, we connect really well on the ice. We always seem to be in the right place when we need too...its almost like we can read each others minds. Its really cool.
" Hey Evans, we're getting ready to go? " Rizzo said walking up to me.
" Yeah, I just gotta grab my stuff " I say to Rizzo as I started walking over to my jeep.
I grabbed my bag that had my clothes and other things that I will need for the next 2 weeks and grabbed my hockey bag. I walked over to the bus and threw my sticks and bag under the bus, where everyone else was putting theirs. Rizzo did the same as me and one back over to the arena, where the guys where talking.
The bus will be driving us to Minneapolis then we're going to switching over to a plane that will take us to Norway.
I ventured my way into the smelly coach bus finding a seat near the back. I closed my eyes and before I knew it I was fast asleep.
*one hour later*
" Haha Rizzo hand me the can!" I heard Jack yell right in my ear, as I slowly began to wake up from my nap.
I slowly opened my eyes just as I saw Jack spray whipped cream on Coxy's hand. I noticed Silky was sitting behind Coxy with a feather in his hand. I couldn't see very well because Jack was blocking my view.
I sat up straight and peered over Jacks shoulder. Silky was tickling the feather over Ralphs face which caused him to move his hand which was full of whipped cream and rub it on his face.
