Chelsea's POV...
I have almost survived my first week living in Minnesota and it has been crazy. Its only been a week but it feels much longer than that. I also can't believe that Jack O'Callahan likes me and that we have a date on Friday night.
He won't tell me where it is and keeps saying its a surprise, but if you ask me I think he doesn't have any idea what our date is going to be. Its been cute watching him try though, I'll give him that.
After Starbucks, I called Lindsay right away and told her everything that happened and where its going and she's been ringing the hotel nonstop since. Literally, its seems like I'm always on the phone with her. She seems more excited about this date on Friday than I do, but then again Lindsays always expresses her excitement a lot differently than I do. This is her normal. Jack thinks its weird but I just tell him to shut up and let us be.
I can't wait for Lindsay to come visit me though. I miss being able to just hang out at random times and doing random things like going to the hair salon. The guys don't do that. They just workout, eat shit food and watch sports. Boring.
Back in Buffalo, the girls were always pulling pranks on each other and going on crazy late night adventures to 7/11 or something like that. I think I should start doing something like that around here, spice things up a bit.
Hockey has also been going great so far. Herb is really hard on us and at times it can get really stressful but I'm enjoying it. Starting next week, we're playing games already.
I was told that in September we're playing a lot overseas in Europe, which is gonna be super cool because I've never been to Europe before. We'll be playing in the Netherlands, Sweden, Finland and then Norway.
I'm really hoping to be able to do some site seeing while we're there but from the look of the schedule, we're jammed full with games.
I'm really clicking well with my new teammates and I've been making some friends from both sides---from Minnesota and Boston.
I usually hang out with Mark Johnson, Boston, Rob and Rizzo but I have to be careful when I'm hanging out with Rob. Boston gets angry when he catches me around Rob. For instance, the other day everyone was hanging out in Rizzo's room and Rob and I were fighting over the remote and I guess that made Jack angry because he started to yell at Rob for not giving me the remote.
It ended with Rizzo putting Mac in his room and me putting Jack in our room. Like those boys will never get along I think, no matter how hard Rizzo and I try.
With it only being one week in, I've already found the guys I spend almost every waking minute with and thats: Rizzo, Jack, Mac, Mark, Dave, Ralph and sometimes with Phil Verchota. They're all great guys and are absolutely hilarious, always getting an ab workout from laughing so much with them.
I heard a muffled noise and looked in the direction it came from, seeing Boston spread out across his bed in just his boxers and t-shirt. I chuckled, as I heard his cute muffled snores. He looked like some tough guy on the outside, but on the inside he was a big softie. Like a teddy bear haha. I've seen that side of him a lot lately.
Herb gave us the day off today, because he has a meeting with the AHA.
There are rumours going around that Herb made the team without authorization from the AHA, who was financing everything...and the AHA wasn't happy. I've seen a few come out to our practices and they look middle-aged, balding, office men. I kinda felt bad that Herb was gonna be stuck all day talking to those guys.
