"Sometimes the worst thing that happens to you, the thing you think you can't survive... it's the thing that makes you better than you used to be."
― Jennifer Weiner, Fly Away Home~~~~°°°°~~~~~
"Ticket, check! Cards, check! Cash, check! And....." she continued talking to herself while rechecking everything.
She's quite forgetful sometimes, so better to be sure if she had everything she need for this vacation.
Today is the day they will fly to El Nido, Palawan. They had booked a flight last Friday, 3 days ago today and they'll fly at 9:00 A.M.
They are currently on the couch in their sala with her luggages on the center table. She's already dressed in her black jeans and black halter top that she had partnered with her converse shoes and overlarge coat.
Jul just watched her with furrowed brows. She just ignored his presence and continued to check her things.
"Swim suit, check! And sunblo------"
"What is that????!!!" Jul cut in while pointing her swimsuit with utter distaste on his chubby face. She frowned at his reaction.
"My Swimsuit." She said innocently.
"For what???" he asked, wearing the same reaction on his face. She furrowed her brows at him.
Can't believe she's hearing this from her friend!
"Of course, for swimming, you dimwit!"
"I know it's for swimming, Anya. But how can you wear such poor thing??? You really have no sense of fashion in your poor soul!!" Jul exclaimed while throwing her out-of fashion swimwear out of her luggage.
She just shrugged with his comment. Thinking it's wise to keep quiet. It's the truth by the way.
"Oh! Bother!.." Jul muttered after seeing her reaction then he got to her feet and headed to her room straight to her closet to rummage it.
He stopped with rummaging her closet when he found whatever he's been looking for then turned to her while beaming.
She quickly tap her forehead with her hands while groaning.
She knows that look very well.
"Bring this one instead, Anya. Oh! This one is just wonderful!" he said as he gave it to her. She take it and check its details. It's a red bikini that covers almost nothing of her private parts.
"No way!" she hastily exclaimed. Eyeing the piece of cloth in her hand with horror on her face.
"Yes, yes, way! This was my gift for you last year but you never wear it! " Jul insisted with dirty smirk on his face then he snatched it from her hands and slid it to her luggage.
How can she wear that thing without even fainting??? There's no way she would wear that! She groaned then looked up to Jul.
"I think I can't wear that hideous swim wear, Jul!" she said with disgust on her face.
Jul just ignored her, not hearing any of her refusals. She groaned but thought to herself to just forget about it, knowing she would never win this argument against Jul.
By the time she had finished what she had been doing, it was already 8:30 A.M.
Time for them to head to the airport.
They hail a cab outside their apartment then they're off to their way to the Airport.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
With all the traffic in the road, their ride to the Airport took them 16 minutes long leaving them with only 14 minutes to rush to their flight. With half walking and half running steps, they are able to get to the plane doors before it closed for take-off.
