Anya's POV

I just followed him with my eyes. With his dropped shoulder, he looked so defeated while kicking the sands on his way.

I don't know why he was reacting that way. I was just telling him to radio for help. A help that could take us back to each of our lives. That way, I would be safe from this weird feeling I started to feel for him.

Him who was just a stranger for me and me to him.

He didn't even give any reaction regarding with my earlier statement.

Probably he still have no inkling what it means?

Tsk, tsk. I didn't know he could be that slow to pick up with my words. I shook my head then focused back with waking up Jul.

I slightly tapped his cheeks but he just moaned. Moaning like he was having a nice dream with me tapping his damn cheeks.

I arched my brow, can't believe he was enjoying this.

Why don't we wake him up in brute force?

I smirked at the idea. Then I quickly raised my right hand and taking a deep breath, I slapped his face hard!

"Jesus-Mama-Mary!" he exclaimed as he jolted from his unconsciousness.

Good!

"OUCH!" he suddenly hissed after a few seconds. Grimacing while rubbing his face. Probably now felt the impact of my slap.

"Are you well now, Jul??" I asked him with eyes full of mirth.

He shook his head. Still rubbing his face, probably, to ease the pain before he answered.

"You've slapped me!" he yelled with a glare.

I got to my feet then crossed my arms. Looking at him with a knowing smirk.

"You've hit your face "again" in a rock when you had fainted earlier."I lied while rolling my eyes. Trying my luck to fool him twice.

He frowned then tried to analyze it. I just looked at him with interest. Expecting him to lash at me once he realized my deceit.

But after a few seconds of his silence, he looked up then nodded his head.

"Yeah, yeah. You were right."

I just looked at him with mouth agape.

Oh God! I didn't know I've got a friend as stupid as himself!

Tsk tsk.

Good thing he was sweet as a friend. Atleast, he had some qualities that I love.

"Hello in, this is an emergency call. Can anyone hear me? Over."

I quickly turned my head to look at Robert's way. He was busy with searching for the right channel then keep on talking again when no one answered him.

"Hello in, this is an emergency call. Can anyone hear me? Over." He said in a now annoyed tone.

Again, no one had answered.

"Shit! Triple shit!" he cursed under his breath. Now irritated with it.

I just shook my head seeing him all frustrated. He tightly closed his eyes then breathe out before he opened it again.
