ANYA's POV

My wide eyes just glued to his face with my heart still beating in a rapid pace and add to the fact that my stomach doing that flipping motion again.

How can he just appear out of nowhere and startled me with his presence!

His arms tightened around me as a wide grin broke into his face.

"Do you miss me that much to even give me that reaction, Anya?" he asked with his amused voice as his other hand behind busied with stroking my hair.

The bastard. He really have the habit to do that but there's no way I would allow that to get him off of this.

I shook my head swiftly when I had recovered from the shock then inhaled deeply before slapping his chest with annoyance.

"Don't just appear somewhere and startled me wearing that shades, Robert! I almost had a heart attack because of you!" I yelled at him with clenched teeth.

The bastard just chuckled softly then took off his sunglasses, exposing his blue grey eyes dancing with amusement with me acting like some paranoid.

"Though I wanted your heart to jump everytime you see me, I don't think I could just let you have a heart attack." He answered after awhile, now smirking while gazing down at me.

I just shook my head then looked behind me, checking if those men in black with their bloody shades are still around.. I was able to let out a sigh of relief when found none.

"What? Something wrong? "He asked with his brows creased in concern, probably sensing my uneasiness.

"I think..."then again, I scanned around us and leaned against his ear. "Someone were following me, Robert!" I whispered with short breath then again, warily looked around me, feeling like I was still being watched by those people.

His brow instantly cocked to one side as his eyes gazing down at me with are-you-serious look, causing me to frown. Disappointed with him not believing me.

"What? Do you think I'm just inventing? That I'm just paranoid?" I angrily spat as I took his arms off of me then stepped out of his reach, annoyed with him.

His eyes suddenly flickered in alarm and instantly reached out his hands to hold but the hell I would give him that satisfaction.

How dare he looked at me like I was some crazy!

"No, no, no... I wasn't thinking such things, Anya. I was just giving it some thought.. " He stated, gone that doubtful look in his eyes and turned worried.

"Maybe they're just..." He trailed off as he try to fumble with the right words to say.

I just stared at him pointedly with arched brow, waiting impatiently with him to complete his sentence.

"they're just here to buy something, like you!" He continued in a tongue twister.

My pointed gaze narrowed at him with scrutinizing stares, dissecting the bastard why the hell he was acting bizarre, nothing like his usual behavior.

His eyes suddenly averted its gaze, looking at anything around but me with his Adam's apple kept bobbing like he was swallowing some rock on his throat.

Tsk, tsk... If my suspicion was right, he's hiding something again.

"Robert.... Your eyes, looked at me..." I slowly said, demanding him with warning.

His gaze swiftly averted to me while blinking like he had some eye problem.

"What? What about my eyes? " He asked, obviously feigning innocence.
