Jasmine's POV:

It had been two weeks since me and Jacob got into that fight. I hadn't spoken to him since then.

I mean I'm not trying to be petty but he said some really hurtful things to me. I just really can't get over some of it.

Anyhow. Yesterday Edward had asked me if I wanted to play baseball with him and his family. And of course I said yes.

I was getting ready when Bella came into my room. "So where are you going all dolled up?" She asked.

I rolled my eyes playfully.  "Well if you must know I'm gonna go play baseball with Edward and his family." I said smiling.

"Baseball huh? In this weather?" She asked. I started to panic a little. "Well we're gonna try to make it out before the bad weather hits." I explained quickly.

Bella nodded. Oh thank goodness she bought it. I was running out of of lies to tell. Luckily I came up with that on the spot.

Bella smiled at me and hugged me. "Just be careful." She said to me. I giggled and hugged her back. "Always sissy." I said smiling.

Edward drove us to an open field deep into the woods. It was clearly far away from anyone. "So why exactly do you need to thunder and lightning?" I asked him.

Edward let out a small chuckle. "You'll see soon enough dear." He said. I huffed playfully. "Your a stick in the mud." I teased.

"Yes I know." He said holding my hand as we walked over to where the others were. They were figuring out who would bat first.

Esme smiled once she saw me. "Im glad your here Jasmine we need another umpire." She said.

"She thinks we cheat." Emmett said grinning at his adopted mother. "I know you cheat." She said. I giggled slightly.

"There will be no cheating on my watch." I assured her. She kissed my cheek. "Good." She said.

And just like that the game started. Rose was batting first. As she hit the ball with the metal bad a loud clank could be heard but luckly it was pretty much blocked by the thunder.

My eyes widned at how far the ball went and at the sound. "Ok now I see why you need the thunder." I said as I watched the ball fly into the woods.

I shake my head slightly. "That's gotta be a home run." I said as I watched Edward take off after the ball.

Esme shakes her head slightly. "Edward is very fast." She said. I saw for myself this as he ran back and threw the ball back to home plate.

"Your out." I told Rose sorta shakily. I could tell she didn't like me but I didn't really know why.

Emmett began to tease her about being out earning him a glare from her. Boy if looks could kill Emmett would be dead right now. Well... You know what I mean.

The game continued on. At one point Edward and Emmett crashed into each other. Edward flipped him off making me laugh a little.

"Babe that was inappropriate." I said trying to act all stern but playful at the same time. Edward only blew me a kiss which I accepted.

This was rare to see him like this. Having fun and smiling. Don't get me wrong I love seeing him like this but deep down I have a feeling that something big is about to go down. But what I had no idea.

After a while I looked at Alice who froze in her spot. I had no clue what was going on. "Stop!' She yelled out.

Everyone looked at her in confusion. But soon enough they found out what was going on. Three vampires were headed in our direction. By the sound of it they were not friendly.

Edward ran to try to get me into the car but it was already too late. "Alright keep your hood on and stay close to me." He ordered.

"Like that'll help I can smell her half way across the field." Rose said sarcastically. I rolled my eyes at her. I felt my heart start to race. I was terrified.

Soon a dark skinned man along with a blonde guy and a red headed woman came from the woods. The dark skinned one had the baseball in his hand.

"I believe this belongs to you." He said to Carlise. He nodded. "Thank you." Carlise said as he caught the ball in his hand.

"I am Laurent. And this is Victoria. And James." The dark skinned one said introducing himself and what I suppose is his coven.

"I'm Carlise. I'm afraid your hunting has caused a little bit of a mess for us." He said to them.

"Our apologies. We didn't know the area had been claimed." Laurent explained. "We maintain a permanent residence near by." Carlise replied.

"Well we were just passing through. We won't be a problem anymore." Laurent assured them. Then suddenly the red head spoke.

"We led the humans that were tracking us east. You should be safe." She said. Carlise nodded. "Excellent." He said.

"So could you use a few extra players?" Laurnet asked. "Im afraid the game is over.' Carlise said.

"Oh come on. Just one game." He insisted. Carlise sighed. "A few of us were leaving anyway." He said.

I couldn't help but notice the James guy was staring pretty hard at me. This was starting to freak me out pretty bad. I held onto Edward's hand.

We turned to leave when suddenly a breeze blew my hair in the wind. And I never will forget the next words that were said.

"You brought a snack~"
