Chapter 3: Accidents.

Jasmines POV.

So I've deduced the boy, who's name i found out was Edward, is a total wad. Ever since that day he hasn't been to school.

The first few days I thought he was just sick. But after 2 weeks I started to get a little irritated.

I walked into class and to my suprise there he sat. Wide eyed and bushy tailed. It kinda made me wanna slap him. But I digress.

I take my seat beside them. Instantly I notice his gaze on me yet again. "Hello." A voice said.

I looked at him in suprise. This was the first words he spoke to me. "Hey." I said with a small smile.

"I've been so rude. My name is Edward. Edward Cullen." He said. "Im Jasmine Swan. My friends call me Jazzy." I said.

"Well it's nice to finally meet you Jasmine." He said. Ok so maybe he wasn't such a wad. Still im skeptical.

The teacher passed out our assignment for today. We had to determine what phase the onion cells were in or something.

Don't judge I suck at science. I once made a volcano for the science fair and it sprayed me in the face. Im beginning to think they gave me the blue ribbon cuz they felt sorry for me.

For a while Edward said nothing. Oh god no don't retreat back into that state! Speak man speak!

"So what brings you to Forks?" He asked. I chuckled to myself. "Me and my sister moved here to live with our dad." I explained.

"What about your mom?" He asked. Curious much. "Oh she and my dad are divorced. She recently remarried." I further explained.

"So you don't like the guy?" I shake my head. "No it's not that at all. Phil is a great guy. He just travles alot. I knew mom wanted to go with him.'  I said.

"That was very kind of you." Edward said. I scoffed playful. "Kind is my middle name." I joked.

A small smile appeared on his face. "Sure it is." He said. I giggled and filled out my work.

After class Eddie and I were walking down the hall with each other. I finally got up the nerve to ask him where he'd been all this time.

"I was out of town for a few days." He said. I didn't want to jump to conclusions but it sounded like he was lying. I could always tell when people were lying.

"Oh. Hey your eyes. There brown. They were red when I last saw you." I said. Regardless of what color they were I found myself getting lost in them. Wait what?

"Well see.... I got contacts..." Edward said shakily before walking off. I sighed. 'When are you gonna learn to keep your mouth shut?' I asked myself.

Finally this day was over. I walked out to the truck. Bella was staying after school to work on a project and dad was gonna pick her up.

All I wanted to do was crawl under the covers and forget this day happened. My once chance to make peace with Ed and I blew it.

Suddenly the screeching of tires were heard. I turned to see a van coming straight for me. I was frozen in fear. I couldn't move.

I closed my eyes and braced myself for impact. I felt a cold hand push me back against the truck slightly. A loud thud noise was heard.

I opened my eyes to see Edward in front of my. His hand was over a large dent in the van. He saved me. He pushed the van away.

I started to feel dizzy. Before I knew it I was wisked away to the hospital. Ech I hated coming here. Hospitals give me the creeps.

The nurses were really cool although. I talked to one of them until dad got there.

"You and I are gonna talk.' He said to the boy who was driving the van. I rolled my eyes slightly. "Dad chill please. It was an accident."

Dad sighed. "Sorry. Im going into protective dad mode.' He said with a slight smile.

I cant blame dad for being worried. Im his daughter after all. Although I prayed he wouldn't tell mom. She would have a fit.

"Jasmine?" A voice asked. I looked up to see a pale man with golden hair. His pale features matched Edwards to a tee. Maybe this was his dad? "I heard the chiefs daughter was in." He said.

"Your very lucky." Dr. Cullen said as he did a few simple tests on me. "Im lucky Edward was there. Otherwise I'd be a pancake right now." I said honestly.

Dad raised his brow. "Edward? Your boy?" He asked. Carlise nodded. "It seems you are both very lucky. Your free to go once your dad signs the papers." Dr. Cullen said.

Dad shakes his hand. "Thank you Carlise." He said. "Always a pleasure Charlie.'

I smiled. "Listen why don't you go on home? I'll be back in time for dinner." Dad said. "Okie dokie.' I said.

On my way out I looked for Edward to thank him. I saw him in the hallway with his dad and adopted sister.

It looked like he and his sister were arguing. When they noticed I was standing there they stopped.

"Oh im sorry I just wanted to talk to Ed." I said awkwardly as they stared at me.

Dr. Cullen and his daughter left leaving me and Edward. "What?" He askes in an icy tone.

"How did you do it? How did you stop the van? How did you get over there so fast?" I asked.

"I was standing right there Jasmine. I had what's called an adrenalin rush. You can google it." He said smartly.

I wasn't buying this for a second. "Im not an idiot ya know. I know there has to he an explanation for how you were able to stop the van." I said stubbornly.

"Can't you just thank me and get over it?" He snapped before walking off. "Thanks?" I said as he walked off.

So it seems there is more to Eddie than I first thought. My mind filled with questions. I was content on getting answers. One way or another
