Jasmines POV:

I groaned as I looked at the clock. 6:30 am! Way too early! How I wish school could start at like 10 or something.

I slowly got out of bed and went into the bathroom for a quick shower. After I hurried back to my room to get ready.

I went downstairs to see Bella talking to dad. "Good morning." I said as I grabbed an apple from the bowl.

"Morning squirt." Dad said. I rolled my eyes playfully. "Come on dad im not 4 anymore." I said.

"I know I know." He chuckles shaking his head slightly. "Have a good day at school you two." He said before leaving. "You too.' I said

The school wasnt as big as I thought it was gonna be. I looked around as Bella and I walked into the office.

Bella handed me my schedule. "Well it looks like we have lunch and the last period of the day together." She said.

"Better than nothing I guess." I said with a shrug. And with that we went to class. Biology was my first period.

I looked around for a seat. Suddenly I saw an open seat. I saw a boy sitting there. He was about 6 foot with bronze hair and very pale skin.

I felt the fan blow my hair. The boy instantly tensed up. I raised my brow as I sat down beside him.

His icy gaze was on me the whole period. I could barely concentrate on what my teacher was saying. I started to ask him what his problem was. It was almost like he was in pain.

He got up a good 3 seconds before the bell rang and stromed out. "What a hard case." I muttered to myself.

I walked back into the office to ask where the gym was when I saw the boy.

"There must be something available." He demanded. "Im sorry but your just going to have to stay in biology." The lady behind the desk said.

He turned to look at me with a cold glare. "I'll just have to endure it then." He snapped before storming out of the room.

I sighed to myself. This was gonna be harder than I thought.

Abby's POV:

I was so excited when Saturday finally came. I spent at least 3 hours getting ready. I sat on the couch patiently for Jake to come.

"You look nice." My older brother Paul said. "Thanks.' I said grinning. He chuckles and went to ruffle my hair. "Nah!" I said.

He shakes his head. "Tell Black to have you home by 10." He said going into big brother mode. I rolled my eyes playfully. "Yes sir." I said.

When Jacob picked me up we went to the diner in Forks. This was always my favorite place to go. It gave me a sense of home.

"So what's on your mind Jake?" I asked as he was being kinda quite. He looked up from his burger and looked me in the eyes.

"Sorry im just thinking about Jasmine." He said. I nodded. "I know. Its so good to have her back here." I said smiling.

"I know right! Now I can finally get her to be with me." Jacob said. The smile faded from my face.

"Oh. So you like her then?" I asked. I felt my throat tighten. I can't belive this is happening. He is falling for my best friend.

"I have for a long time actually." He said as a small blush formed on his face. That sentence was enough to shatter my heart.

Although I expected it. Jasmine is a very beautiful girl. And im.... Average. There's nothing really special about me.

"Hey I've got an idea." He said grinning at me. "Oh? And that would be?" I asked biting my tounge.

"Your Jasmine's best friend. Could you help me find out what she likes? And then eventually maybe help us get together?" He askes with hopeful eyes. Eyes I had fallen in love with.

At this point I was about to burst into tears. "Sure. Why not?" I said putting on a fake smile. "Im gonna run to the bathroom." I said.

I scurried into the bathroom. I looked into the mirror at my sad face. I could hold the tears back no longer.

A river fell from my eyes. It was like my worst fears were becoming a reality. My crush was falling for my best friend.

And there wasn't a thing I could do about it. Nothing at all
