Chapter 14 In my time of dying

Jasmine POV

"How did you get this number?" I asked. My voice was full of fear. "Forks High doesn't protect its students information very well. It was all to easy for Victoria to get your old address."

I was shaking like a leaf at this point. It was getting hard to breathe. "Let my mom go!' I snapped at him out of the blue.

"Hmm. Come to your old ballet studio and I'll let her go. But leave your new friends there. Your poor mommy would pay the price for that mistake."

I took a ragged breath. Until now I had never really thought about how I would die. But going in the place of someone I love seems like a good way to go.

I quickly lost track of Jasper and Alice as I made my way to the studio. It had been years since I had been here. Bella and me didn't really take to ballet.

I smiled at the memory of us taking lessons. One time I punched this older kid in the face because she said that Bella sucked at dancing.

Mom didn't punish me that time because she knew i was only sticking up for Bella. I would miss my mom. Dad and Bella too. And the new friends I've made in Forks.

As I walked into the studio I started to hear my mom's voice. "Mom!" I yelled running to where it was coming from. I came to a closet. I quickly opened the door.

But it was only a tv playing one of our old home movies. This was all a sick twisted trick. Then I heard someone chuckle.

I turned to see James with a video camera. "There she is. The star of the show." He said with a smirk. I rolled my eyes slightly.

"So this was all just a sick and demented game?" I snapped at him. "Pretty much. If you can't tell the hunt is a thrill for me." He said.

I backed up against one of the mirrors. James still had the camera in my face. "So anything you wanna say?" He asked.

I shake my head no. This one was a real psychopath. There's no telling how many innocent people he's killed.

I feel around in my pocket and I find some pepper spray dad had given me a while back. I sprayed it in his eyes and took off running.

I heard him growl and chase after me. He jumped in front of me and grabbed my arm. He then threw me into one of the mirrors. A large chunk of it was in my leg.

He laughed as he walked over to me. I was laying on the floor in pain. He stepped on my wounded leg making me scream out in pain.

"Tell Edward how much it hurts! Tell him how you want him to avenge you!" James yelled. I shake my head.

"No Edward don't!' I yelped. "Tell him! Tell him!" And then suddenly he was thrown off of me. I turned my head and saw Edward. Oh praise God.

Edward had thrown James into the wall and had him by the throat. "You came because your faster than the others." James said before flipping them and grabbing Edward's throat. "But not stronger."

"I'm strong enough to kill you!" Edward said before throwing James across the room. He quickly picked me up and went to leave only to be dragged back down by James.

I was laying back on the ground. I watched as Edward was thrown into a window. James stalked over to me and grabbed my arm. He sinks his teeth into my wrist. I screamed loudly.

My whole body was on fire. It was like my blood was liquid flames. I heard Edward slam James into a wall and pinning him down. Then some familiar voices were heard.

It was Carlise Alice Emmett and Jasper. "Son stop. Remember who you are." Carlise told Edward. "Your brothers will take care of him."

I looked up to see Alice by my side. "Shhh it's ok Jasmine I've... Got you.." She said. Her hand had blood on it. "Carlise!" She called for him.

He rushed over to me. "Tie your belt here." He said to her. Alice tied her belt around my leg. I was in so much pain I was shaking.

Edward was holding my arm that James had bit. "What are my options here Carlise?" He askes.

"You need to get the venom out." He said. "You know I won't be able to stop." "Find the will to stop. You need to decide soon Edward. She only has minutes left."

I was breathing heavily as I looked at Edward. He looked at me in sympathy. "I'm gonna make the pain go away Jasmine. I promise."

I felt him latch onto my wrist as he began to drain the venom from my body. I began to feel faint. I was struggling to stay awake.

"Edward stop! Her blood is clean your killing her." Carlise said. Edward slowly let go of my arm. The whole room was blurry. I could see a large fire with Emmett Jasper and Alice around it. They must have killed James already.

Everything was going dark. I looked at Edward and smiled slightly. "I love you." I said in almost a whisper to where only he could hear it. And then everything went black.

Death is peaceful. Easy. Life is harder
