Chapter 15 Hospital reunions

Edward's POV:

I sat on the couch of Jasmine's hospital room watching her sleep. She looks so peaceful. We told her parents she fell down a flight of stairs and went through a window.

My heart grew heavy as I watched her. It was my fault she's in here. I'm the one who almost got her killed. I never should have brought her into my world.

God so many things are running through my mind right now. I knew what I had to do now I just really didn't want to. I didn't want to leave her.

I've waited a long time for someone like her. And now just like that she was almost out of my life forever. I don't think I could have lived with myself if James had killed her. There would have been no way....

Suddenly I saw the door open. I quickly closed my eyes and pretended to be asleep. I heard Rene start talking to Jasmine.

Jasmine's POV

I slowly opened my eyes to see my mom sitting beside me. "M-mom?" I asked in a shakey voice. "Oh honey thank goodness your awake." She said taking my hand into hers.

"What happened?" I asked looking around. I had already noticed I was in the hospital. My whole body feels like I was hit by a truck.

"Well Edward and his dad came here to try to get you to go back to Forks. And you umm.... Fell down a flight of stairs. Went through a window."

I sighed quitely. "Yea that sounds like me." I said playfully. "Where is Edward?" I asked. "Hes asleep. He hasn't left your side." She said.

I smiled slightly. I was thankful for Eddie. He's made my life so much better. Suddenly mom was talking to me about moving to Jacksonville with her and Phil.

"No mom I wanna stay in Forks." I said. She looked at me like I had a second head growing out of me. "Well you just rest. We'll talk about it later." She said pressing a kiss to my forhead.

"Hey mom I'm a little hungry. Do you think you can go get me something from the cafeteria?" I asked her sweetly. "Of course baby." She said getting up and walking out the door

I turned over to look at Edward. "Hey I know your not asleep you dork." I teased him. He chuckles and opened his eyes.

"Even when your in a hospital bed you never seem to lose your sense of humor." He said smiling at me.

I giggled slightly. "You know me Ed. I'm always the perfect little ball of sunshine.' I said winking at him.

Suddenly his smile faded away. "You should go with your mom to Jacksonville." He said in a serious tone.

My eyes widened. "What? No I'm not. Why would you say that?" I asked a little hurt by this. He shakes his head.

"Its because of me your in here. It's because of me you were almost killed." He said sadly. I looked down at my lap.

"I can't leave you. I just can't. Edward you've made the last few months of my life worth while. I can't just forget about all that. Please don't make me.." I said on the verge of tears.

Edward sighed. "Hey hey don't cry don't cry. You don't have to go anywhere." He said cupping my cheeks.

I nuzzled into his touch. His cold hands were soothing to me. I guess it's because my face was flushed and beet red.

"Please don't leave me Edward. I couldn't bare that." I said in almost a whisper. He pressed a gentle kiss to my lips.

"Never. I will never leave you Jasmine Swan. I'm afraid your stuck with me." He said flashing another one of his famous grins at me.

I giggled. "And you Mr. Cullen are stuck with me." I said pecking his lips quickly. I could honestly say that this guy would always be there for me.

Through thick and thin. Good and bad he would always be there. We would always be together. Always.
