My (Fake) Lover

Chapter 9 - Hospital

I wake up groaning in a unfamiliar room with beeping sounds echoing through , i look around and all i see is blank white walls and a pale blue floor. I notice that there is an oxygen mask rested on my face causing me to try and push myself up but being dragged down by pain

I look at my face and realise that i am covered in bruises, i see someone walk in and instantly smile "Hello Miss Scarlet, we're glad to see you awake" She says but walks towards a different bed, i push myself up again fighting the pain and see a boy laying down. I squint to try make my vision clearer as i watch the nurse check up the boy

"How long have i been out for ?" I ask "around 2 days" She says and my eyes widen "2 days?" I ask in shock "Where's my brother? i need to see my brother" I say realising what has happened, oh no Ryder "Where's Ryder?" I ask her panicking she gives me a sorry smile and look down at the boy

I push myself off the bed just to stumble back, right now i couldn't give a fuck about this damn pain i need to see him "Miss Scarlet you need to get back to bed" She says worriedly "Let me see him" I say and she gives up knowing i wont, i stumble to his bed and look at him

The sight of him bring tears to my eyes, he's laying there almost lifeless, his once tanned skin is a pale yellow with bruises and cuts scattered around his arms and face, his wrist was in a cast, he had a oxygen mask too and the machines seemed constant "Is he okay?" I ask trying to fight back the tears

"He's steady and can wake up at any moment but that is completely up to how his mind is working right now" She says and my heart breaks, i grab his hand and take a deep breath "Hey Ry" I whisper "I'm hoping you can hear me" I say and take a deep breath realising that without the oxygen mask breathing felt a little harder

"I'm so sorry for putting you through this" I say "You are my best friend Ry and the only person that gets me and who stuck by me ever since we started this whole thing" I whisper and finally let my tears fall

"Please come back to me" I say and place a kiss on his forehead "Miss the doctors will be here soon you need to go back to your bed" The nurse says and i nod, i force myself back to my bed and place the oxygen mask back on my face, i take a deep breath and feel more relaxed now that the oxygen is helping me breath

"What happened to me?" I ask "When you two were brought in you had both drug and alcohol trace in your system" She says and my eyes widen "Drugs? i do not take drugs ever" I say confused "Someone might have spiked your drink in this occasion, only thing that Ryder had was alcohol, maybe he spiked your drink?" She asks and i raise my eyebrow

"Dont you dare speak about him in that way, Ryder and i were given our drinks at the same exact time" I say angry that she accused Ryder of such thing "I'm sorry Miss Scarlet, we were just wondering he was clean and you weren't" she says and I sigh "it wasn't him" I say and she nods "hello miss Scarlet" an older man says walking into the room " I am glad to see that you are awake, we were quite worried about you and Mr Ryder" the doctor says and I nod

"Is he going to be okay"  I ask and the doctor sighs "his heart rate have been going up and down, we are a bit worried for his case" the doctor says and I sigh "you will have to stay here for 2 more days under supervision, I will call your brother to let him know that you are awake" the doctor says and I nod, they both leave the room and I look over at Ryder

I jump off the bed and take my oxygen mask off throwing it on the bed before making my way over to Ryder "hey" I whisper grabbing his hand, again feeling breathless,  i sit on the chair next to his bed and just sigh "I miss you Ry" i whisper "i am so sorry that you are in this because of me, i don't know what i would do if you" I say but i choke on my own words 

"I can't be without you Ry please come back to me, i can't lose you too" I whisper and place a kiss on his hand "you are strong enough Ryder, i believe in you" I say 

Ryder's P.O.V

I am sitting in a complete white room not knowing whats going on, i know my body is asleep but i cant make it wake up no matter how hard I'm trying "You are strong Ryder, i believe in you" i hear a familiar voice echo through the room "Scarlet" i whisper feeling my heart beat rise

Scarlet's P.O.V

I hear beeping noise and see the monitor showing me that his heart beat is increasing and his grip on my hand slightly tighten "Oh my god" I say and shoot up before running out the room "Doctor" my voice echos through the halls of the hospital "Scarlet" The doctor says worried as i start to get wheezy "Ryder" I say breathless

We run into the room and the doctor sees that in the monitor his heart beat is increasing to normal rate, the doctor looks at me with a slight of happiness in his eyes "he heard you" The doctor says and i smile before i feel myself getting weaker "He's coming back" I whisper before i just feel myself drift off
