Chapter 10 - Awake

i feel myself wake up once again in the same state as i previously did making me panic "I'm glad your away Miss Scarlet" The nurse says smiling "What the hell" I whisper feeling the deja-vu "Hey sleepy head" I hear Ryder say making my heart race "Ry" i say loudly and try to get off my bed but the doctor stops me "nope, last night you passed out from lack of oxygen for being so stubborn" The doctor says and i roll my eyes

"She is pretty stubborn" Ryder says from the corner "Oh shut up you are way more" I fight back and he nods showing that i am being stubborn "I will have a nurse bring the two of you some breakfast, and for you Scarlet i do not want to see you get off this bed" He says and i shrug as he leaves

I watch the nurse also leave and look around before throwing the mask off my face and running to Ryder before pulling him into a tight hug "God i thought i lost you" I say and he just laughs "Ry" I say sadly and he shakes his head "I wasn't going to let you get hit by that car, specially not alone" Ryder says and i still give him an apologetic look "Hey it's okay really" He says grabbing my hand

"I'm Ryder Jones, i am invisible" Ryder jokes with a cocky voice "Oh shut it" I say and he smiles, i look over and see someone getting closer before i run back to my bed and put on my oxygen mask "Food?" I ask the nurse who walks in with a trolley "Yup, we have some rice, chicken and mash. We also have mac and cheese and some sandwiches" She says and i smile "Chickennn" I say happily and she chuckles

She gives me a plate and goes over to Ryder who gets the same thing as me "how's the food?" The nurse asks and I shrug, hospital food is always nasty. I watch her leave and put the plate on the little food table

"How are you feeling?" I ask Ryder while looking over at him "well, considering I am great" he says with a smile "we will be out of here soon Ry" I say and he nods " Ry, I'm sorry about this whole thing I should've been more careful" I say and Ryder shakes his head

"Scar it's okay really, you are my best friend and I was not going to let you die. I wasn't gonna stand there and watch" Ryder says and I sigh "you would've done the same" he whispers and I nod knowing I would In a heartbeat

"Listen when we get out of here ima drive you and baby to Nando's, I will take you on a awesome best friend date and then we will go to our waterfall or cliff and we will spend the day like we used to. Deal?" I ask and Ryder smiles at me "deal" he says still smiling at me. I smile over at him and I just can't wait until the day we walk out of here, there something in my heart showing that I cannot not live without this guy and it is driving me crazy.

"Hey jellybean" I hear Rick say while walking in the room " hey Rick" I say smiling, he gives me a tight hug and smiles "how are you feeling?" He asks "much better now that Ryder is awake"  I say and Rick smiles "I brought the both of you clean and comfortable clothes, Scar you're allowed to come home tomorrow but Ryder is only allowed to on Sunday" Rick says meaning Ryder will leave the day after me

"Can I stay here tomorrow night too? I don't want Ryder to be alone" I ask and Rick sighs "you need to come home, the doctors won't allow you to stay because you were just released" Rick says and I nod before looking at Ryder "it's okay, as long as I get the honour of being picked up by both you and your beautiful impala" Ryder says and I smile "deal" I reply smiling

"What time do i get to leave?" I ask and Rick smiles "First thing in the morning" He says and i nod "I can't wait to have a proper shower" I say in relief and Rick chuckles "Do you remember what happened?" Rick asks and i sigh, i know what i saw

"I saw mum and dad" I whisper "I saw mum leave the party, she was standing there smiling at me. And then dad appeared he told me that it was time, it was my time and then he put his hand out to me. When i went to reach for his hand i heard Ryder scream my name and then that was it" I say "You know that wasn't them right, dad would never tell you that" Rick says and i nod

"I know but i didn't then and now i got me and Ryder into this mess"  I say quite upset and Rick grabs my hand "Don't put this on you Scar, it's not your fault" Rick says and i shrug "It's late, you two should get to bed" Rick says and i frown, i look at my phone and see that it's already 11, time went flying "Okay" I say and hug him "I'll be here first thing in the morning to get you okay?" He says and i nod "Bye Rick" I say and he smiles "Bye jellybean" He says "Bye Ryder" Rick says and no reply

I look over and we see Ryder dead asleep making both of us laugh "Get some sleep, i'll be here in the morning" Rick says and leaves, i lay down and feel sleep taking over my body

Dream

I am walking through the woods towards my waterfall, something is really dragging me towards this place. I look over and see two familiar backs staring down at the water "Mum ? Dad?" I ask and they turn around smiling at me "We are glad you are okay" My mum says and i look at them confused 

"How are you guys here?" I say, obviously happy but confused "You're dreaming " My dad says and hugs me tight "We love you so much and your time will not come anytime soon baby" My mum says and joins the hug "You have much much more to live for my angel" My dad says and i feel peace take over my heart and body.
